He is only viable as a Tank (physical or special)/Rapid Spinner.  But he's good at it. :)

Squirtle is pretty awesome, as it eventually evolves into Blastoise. But then again, Snivy looks like Excalibur from Soul Eater and therefore is pretty epic as well. If we were counting final stages, I would probably say Torterra (It's a ankylosaurus with a tree and some stones on it's back, how badass is that?).

Main reason why Charizard is so "meh" competatively speaking.  Stealth Rocks on the field?  1 dead charizard.....

Not entirely correct. Yeah it cuts Charizard HP to 50% when it switches in, but a 50% HP cut is only viable if the opponent can take advantage of it. My Soul Silver Charizard was a fearsome foe, even with Stealth Rock in place, since he had maximum IV's for Speed and Attack and was EV trained for both stats. Coupled with his moveset, he was able to dish a lot of OHKO's even at 50% HP. 

I'm also quite keen on Totodile - he's just so awesome
