i honestly dont think it will, Everywhere outside of the UK & North America are buying PS3's at too fast a rate for Xbox to pass them just because its the holidays. there is no dought it will be close but the PS3 will outsell the 360

This seems really unlikely to happen at this point. I don't know what MS were going on about, perhaps it was just a bit of FUD.

Or there's still a price cut coming, but it must be huge to achieve this. Or perhaps VGC numbers are plain wrong.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see.

this isnt gonna happen. its funny usually around this time i see xbox 360 ads alot but it looks like sonys turn. in the UK, im seeing uncharted 3 ads all over the place and ps3 ads everywehre aswell. people always use UK and US for 360 but dont forget PS3 can also potentially explode in them regions too. i mean they're close in UK and after last NPD ps3 isnt far off in america either.

I will say one thing, even though I really don't see it happening I'm really intrigued by what Dodece says he knows. Part of me wants something crazy to happen just for the sake of it. PS3 is too strong ATM though, for reals.

Well, unless it's "Buy one 360, get one free" or the $199 250GB 360 + $249 Kinect bundle I mentioned previously, its not going to happen.  Even if it was something like that, it would only help it close the gap to a tie, maybe be slightly above the PS3.  But, to close a greater than 1 million gap and then create another 1 million gap between itself and the PS3, it's just even more impossible.  To compare it with last year, from this week til the end of Dec 2010, the 360 was able to outsell the PS3 by 505K.  To suggest that the 360 can best that by over 1.5 million is just ludicrous.  Forget the buy one get one free, they'd just have to plain give them out for free.

Read my post farther up on the page, I summarized it. 360 effectively would need to do about a million units better in Americas than what the Wii was doing back in holidays 2009 when it was breaking pretty much every holiday sales record in history.

I wonder whether this have possibly to do with MS managing to obtain to officially sell XB360 in China before its competitors or maybe some company, not necessarily MS, filing patents lawsuits to block XB360 competitors sales...

Another +50000 for PS3 this week! If Microsoft has some trump card now is the time 'cause they've used their 2 biggest assets and it made no difference.

i am thinking is MS don't care PS3 will over 360 now
because if it's 2006~2009,MS should already make a price cut to defend it
