If only Japan would play by the same rules as the rest of us. In Japan, the 360 should have sold half of what the PS3 sold. It's only fair.

Yeah because that's exactly what it is, you sound almost scared to admit it. I'll put Microsoft before you, I'll also say they have a heck ton more data than we do, and people actually qualified to comment. That's why I can't say how they'll do it, but I havn't heard Sony or Nintendo argue what they've been saying at all. You just seem to think they're going to blag their way through the rest of this year. Not gonna happen, they wouldn't reiterate every month.

i agree with this recently banned person.
It will most likely be close, considering Microsoft has a few big titles still left for the year, but Sony has some big titles, too, but Microsoft's titles do push some systems more often than Sony's. Sony is not going to just lay back and let it happen, though, but it will definitely be close.

its seems Seece is using the same broken logic used last yr.
this yr there are no advantages. you could easily pare whts going to help who and cancel them out.
COD boost: no point in arguing this one, but generaly not like yr's before it cancels out and the FFXIII-2 bundle will also cover this one
BF3: this ones funny considering it favors MS in preorders so you'd think it would help. the bundle for the PS3 version is likely the funniest part about this bundle cause it won't help much and whts left from FFXIII-2 if there is anything left will also cancel any boost given.
UC3 v Halo: yea i know UC isn't as big as Halo but it will cancel any boost given from Halo.
GEARS: the price cut canceled that and FIFA. not quite the cancel but it did some good and kept sonys 1m lead in tact.
360 bundles v PS3 multi colors: i'm not sure wht else is coming out but i'm sure theres something to cancel it.
If Sony/PS3 losses anything it will be a few thousand, and the PS3 lead isn't just 1m so that few 100k(i don't know wht it is cause i haven't looked) will hold off MS as it has in the past.
counter it if you want, but it won't help.

Ugh... whatever. I'm done arguing with you. If you're not going to present an argument to me other than blind hope than this conversation is pointless. A small reminder:

That's only 24k less than what PS3 sold during all of December in Japan last year. And ironically enough PS3 is currently baseling quite close to its 2009 sales level in Japan.

I've presented my argument you just chose to foolishly ignore it (Microsoft more so) you're essentially saying you know more than them, without knowing what they have planned. I'm glad you think so highly of yourself, 1 million is a very small number to overcome when Microsoft will hook the casuals better this christmas than last, and don't come out with this 'Kinect isn't new' crap, wii wasn't new in its 4th christmas when it got 3.8 million NPD. Kinect is selling like a console, and it'll have its peak. It didn't peak with weeks of releasing, that's something you will need to come to terms with.
You underestimate the casuals, vastly.
It doesn't look like they will. MS can assert that they're going be #1, but that doesn't mean they will. Looking at last year's sales pattern, current sales pattern, this year's sales figures, etc. it doesn't look like they're gonna outsell the PS3 this holiday by enough to counter it's current loss.
They don't have the Slim, Halo, or the fresh Kinect like last year. Instead they basically have Gears 3 & the year-old Kinect. The only way I see them outselling the PS3 by the required units is if they cut the price. However, going based off what they've already said, which apparently is significant in the grand scheme of things, they're not going to be dropping the price.
Of course, MS seems highly confident in their future. With that said, I, & every one else, should use their own brains to make their own predictions. Hopefully basing those predictions off factors that have proven to hold merit.
