What should GearBox have done with the DLC?

Scrapped it and spent the money elsewhere 3 30.00%

Offered it free to the lo... 4 40.00%

Did what they are doing, charge 10$ 3 30.00%

Total:10

So I heard months ago when the long awaited much anticipated Duke Nukem Forever was about to be released that Gear Box was planning DLC and other content for the game. They expected the content to sell very well because they anticipated that DKF was going to be a smashing success.

The game was released and the majority of fans and gamers who purchased the title were insanely disappointing. Sales of the game plummeted so badly that retailers cut the price of the game to 29.99$ which Best Buy in Canada is now selling on sale for 19.99$. The game did manage to sell according to VGChartz a combined total of 750,000 copies which makes it somewhat successful in a sense.

Well I guess Gear Box considers it successful enough to go through with the planned launch of the DLC. The new DLC will include 4 new multiplayer maps. Called the "The Hail to the Icons Parody Pack" it will be available on Live and PSN for ten dollars or free to Duke's First Access Club, man I'm so jealous. Accompanying the DLC will be a major patch to fix several glitches and technical issues that plague the game.

Am I the only one who thinks that GearBox should have done one of two things. #1. Canceled and scrapped the DLC focusing that money on the reboot or other GearBox software. #2. Offered the DLC free of charge to all those who actually paid for your game, honestly the game performed so poorly and disappointing so many fans the least they could do was offer the DLC free.
