Finally..I mean before we had:
2.5 : 1 [U.S, Bluray Leads]
3 : 1 [Europe, Bluray Leads]
30 : 1 [Japan, Bluray Leads]
Let's get with it people...it was over when Bluray entered the arena, steadily outselling it's hd-dvd competitor in both players sales as well as disc sales.
This notion of hd-dvd ever winning was just fantasy....consumers had already spoken, BLURAY sells..hd-dvd doesn't lol. I love hearing people claim that "nobody wants hi-def discs"...ummm, apparently they DO, and apparently BLURAY is the chosen format.
..Now lets all pause for laughter as ms announces their "xbox ultimate" with a built in OBSOLETE hd-dvd drive...that should really win them some points, what with coming off that whole 33% failure rate, dozens of models along with dozens of addons being thrown out in split second decisions that just don't seem to work lol. |
A great tiime to prove you don't really care about blu-ray. Why would you join just now, when it's prime for gloating, and not just anytime, to show support just because you like blu-ray so much?
Because you don't. If you join because of this, you just think it's safe to join in the bashing, rather than appreciate blu-ray for what it is.
This seems to me to be the REAL REASON HD films are not in the mainstream. Who want's a format only geeks argue about?
You've all just shoved hi-def films to the relm of comic book geekdom. Congratulations! Of course you'll deny it, the way comic book fans deny it.
If you all focused EVEN HALF your energy arguing which will win* into getting the word of HD out, you might have gotten your format into the mainstream.
*And don't look at me about this. I know I can't get the word out myself.
