I picked a great time to join vgchartz.
Finally..I mean before we had:
2.5 : 1 [U.S, Bluray Leads]
3 : 1 [Europe, Bluray Leads]
30 : 1 [Japan, Bluray Leads]
Let's get with it people...it was over when Bluray entered the arena, steadily outselling it's hd-dvd competitor in both players sales as well as disc sales.
This notion of hd-dvd ever winning was just fantasy....consumers had already spoken, BLURAY sells..hd-dvd doesn't lol. I love hearing people claim that "nobody wants hi-def discs"...ummm, apparently they DO, and apparently BLURAY is the chosen format.
..Now lets all pause for laughter as ms announces their "xbox ultimate" with a built in OBSOLETE hd-dvd drive...that should really win them some points, what with coming off that whole 33% failure rate, dozens of models along with dozens of addons being thrown out in split second decisions that just don't seem to work lol.
