WTF is Halo: Cryptum??

It's a Halo book of the "Forerunner Saga/Trilogy" that details the events 100,000 years ago with the Forerunners. How they grew, fell, fought other species (even humans actually), etc.

Hey, you're starting to sound like a pro with the Halo lore....didn't someone just teach you about Cryptum the other day...lol.

OT: Well Spielberg doesn't really excite me these days, I'm still disappointed that Blomkamp didn't get to do it after seeing D9. So I'd rather this not be true to be honest.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

they'll have Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt

Lol, yeah all he needs is an eyepatch and a leather vest....oh wait.

Cruise? Really? Master Chief is supposed to be over 6.5 feet tall, not 4.5 feet tall. Cruise is a Hobbit, I would not go see it if he was MC. I doubt they'd show Chief's face  in a movie anyway .

Why yes they did. I was originally not interested in the Forerunner Saga/Trilogy, but after I heard about some of the stories it detailed, I had to look into it :)

I've always been a major Halo lore person regarding the main series of books!

Well it would appear I was right in being skeptical. Microsoft has officially confirmed that the news report was a fake and that at the moment they have no intention of producing a Halo based feature film. Considering in the past they officially did suggest the idea of a film coming to fruition it would appear that is no longer the case.

In a statement Microsoft sent directly to gaming press giant EuroGamer one of the first websites to run the original story. "The information in the press release in question is inaccurate," "We have no plans for a Halo feature film right now. Our focus is on developing Halo: Anniversary and Halo 4."

It would appear the leaked press release was a hoax or completely inaccurate which doesn't make sense. I guess this settles the issue until the next rumor pops up. Though I doubt that 343 isn't constantly thinking about the possibilities that come with creating a feature film. But it appears that Microsoft's current focus is on the games and the existing merchandising that Halo is getting more and more popular with.
