I like the GBA better in terms of game libary but the DS did do pretty well after It's rocky launch (it was months before I bought a title. I can actually thank Sega for Feel The Magic! great game!)

10/10 - Just edges out the PSX as the best system ever IMO. Fantastic RPG line up, that puts the home consoles to shame, awesome platformers, brand new innovative games, epic puzzle games. All round an awesome platform and I'm very happy to see that it is now the best selling console yet according to this site.

9/10, for a handheld. I will always like a handheld less, as I like bigger screen and sitting on my butt. The only time I play a handheld is at home because I drive everywhere. Docked 1 point for the crappy sound even with headphones.

But it had a bunch of unique games for it. Started the 2D mario back. best Pokemon Game Ever(though still not my sentimental favorite). TWEWY, Radiant Historia, and Dragon Quest V.
It is my favorite handheld ever.

So the lowest possible score is a 7 and I can't see the results. Greatly designed poll, lol.

Anyway, I haven't played it much beyond some language learning games I used on my gf's DS, so it would be unfair for me to give it a score.

I wouldn't know about it, but I think no one could possibily rate it below seven.

what lol didn't the ds come out in 2005? the last gen market winner was the PS2 or GBA i forgot lol..

anyways id rate the ds 9/10 because of Pokemon

last gen's handheld leader! DS? ok? based on wht i know about it i'd give it a 9/10.

Pro: it had all the game you'd ever need in nearly every genre.

Con: it wasn't god.

If not for SE and there Souless remakes, and in general just the " 90's JRPG's" and lack of Fire Emblem.

it would be a 10

but thanks to Valkryie Profile Covenant of the Plume, it keeps it at 9
