I don't know much about the world market, so maybe you all can give some insight.

The Euro is failing because the weaker economies with poor financial governance are dragging it down (Greece, Italy, etc.)
It would be even worse on a global scale.
The global currency is the US dollar. This tilts everything in favour of the US (stuff being cheap and abnormally high standard of living for the work people do).
I shudder to think what would happen if we had a Greece/Euro situation on an even larger scale.
if one falls well all fall but the benefits may out weigh the negatives.

We do. USA/US$
it would be good for poor countries but bad for rich countries
poor countries will get equal quality and will be able to make money easily
but countries who have worked 100's of years to get to the status they have today will bear the pain
it will also re-invent modern day slavery as rich people will bring people from poor countries to be their servants
though rich countries might benefit from financial control

Not really the same thing at all.
Basically, if France and Greece can't successfully share the same currency, what would make anyone in a million years dream that you could possibly have Norway and Zimbabwe with a common currency?
