Forums - Gaming - Resistance 3 will be the LAST shooter i buy on launch............0_o

i import at 50-75% off or buy online though DD at still 50-75% off what i would get if i bough day one retail. There are very few shooters worth the value you offer, Call of Duty is worth the value you pay, but games like Homefront, moh, brink are all way overpriced messes.

The last truely great first person shooter was released back in 2004, and that was Half Life 2. Bioshock comes close but its really Half Life 2 that's truely epic, so epic that now i want to play it again. Time to wait for the next steam sale and get them all for 10 dollars.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

as title above^

every shooter i buy its always a case of playing through campain in a few days, then getting near 10h on multiplayer then thats it its over for me i get bored, i dont usually play through again on harder difficulties so its finished for me

mabey i dont like them any more as i used to, paying £39.99 for upto nearly a weeks worth of gaming isnt good value

it was the same with call of duties, battlefields, gears - i think il go cheaper preowned from now on or may have a look at rental services

how long do shooters usually last you?

back to white knight chrolicles 2 + agarest zero methinks!

I agree with you man 100%. Off topic: Would you recommend white knight 2? I am an rpg fanatic. Oh I have agarest 1 would you also recommend agarest zero?

Team Fortress 2 has lasted me over 200 hours so far, and doesn't look like it'll be slowing down any time soon - and it's free now! Play it :P

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
It does'nt matter to me. I love FPS. If I want a game bad enough,I'll buy it day one,no matter what. I also,don't try to rush through the campaign in one day. I like to take my time and enjoy the campaign.
Halo and Gears of War series hold almost for an eternity, thanks to superb MP and online.
I've never been much of an FPS guy... I mean sure there'll be a couple of games in the genre that will be totally awesome (like Bioshock this generation, and TimeSplitters last generation), but other than that... they're something I'll play when friends who actually like the genre come over.
So yeah... right now I'm really only waiting for Bioshock Infinite, and I really need to go back and play GoldenEye 007. I was really enjoying that, but I just stopped playing it for some reason.
