Hey, quick question: The PSP got certain types of games because of its optical disc based medium. Games could be bigger on the PSP than the DS, right? Well, with the PSV and the 3DS, aren't both consoles pretty much using cartridges? If that the case, wouldn't it be possible for Konami to make MGS HD Collection for the 3DS? What's stopping them?

You are right, in fact the largest PSV cart is only 4GB, no larger than 3DS carts. If anything, Nintendo just needs to ask them to make it on the 3DS, seeing as there are no technical limitations hindering them.

They just screwed up with MGS3, I wonder what will the excuse be when it doesn't sell.

Well, MGS3 is coming to 3DS already, so I could picture them doing something like porting over MGS2 and sell it as a standalone, but wouldn't that tick off 3DS owners since they would have to buy 2 separate games? Then there's the case of Peace Walker, which will be another game on top of it.

Man I don't know...they both look very good. I've never owned a handheld but money permitting I may end up owning two of them within a year.

If 3DS has an identity crisis, I think VIta has one too. Atcually it all depends on how one ooks at it. Some argue that Vita is ffering the best of both worlds - a gaming portable offering what the smart phones offer (3G, social features, small casual games with even PS1 back catalog, multimedia functions) except making calls and internal storage. However, on the other hand, wouldn't that make Vita jack of all trades but master of none?



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

So far, the 3DS. It's getting a lot of games I'm interested in this holiday season.

The problem with the Vita is the ports. Yeah, the 3DS's library was also compromised of ports/remakes, but you couldn't get them on the current gen systems unlike the Vita ports.

Disgaea 3 - also available on PS3
UMvC3 - also on PS3
MGS HD Collection - also on PS3
ZOE - also on PS3
BlazBlue - also on PS3
FFX - also on PS3
Malicious - also on PS3
Street Fighter x Tekken - also on PS3
etc.

I'd rather get those games on the PS3, so yeah, I don't see the point of getting a Vita right now. Also, the memory card thing sucks.
