Which handheld do you think will be better?

Vita 190 44.60%

3DS 207 48.59%

Both will be the same 8 1.88%

I don't care 21 4.93%

PSvita pro:

external battery pack adds 10hrs to battery life.

lots of third party support.

i also want you to think about this IP thing and Vita not having a system seller. the so called system seller is a myth cause there's no guarantee the game will sell the system, cause if thats the case GC would have sold better cause of Mario who has been a system seller in the 3rd 4th and 7th gens right along with Wii sports being the bigger seller of the 2.

system sellers come from nowhere and are all about appeal and you can't say not one Vita(or 3DS)game isn't appealing to some. every game has the potential to sell and fail a system no matter how popular it is.

Maybe better wording could be "big name third party exclusive(s)"? You can't ignore that something like Monster Hunter 3G and MH4 as not being big games for the system, barring they are actually exclusive (for the time being, they are).

Also, an external battery pack is not necessarily a PRO, as we don't know the pricing on it (it could be $20, or it could be $50 for all we know). For now, I won't list it.

the 3ds can have external chargers as well, plus the option to replace the battery exist, third party support is moot as both have a whole lot announced

plus I can't fathom that the new pinabll hall of fame won't come to both, plus the 3ds supposedly has contra which is the only other game I care about anyway
only the first block of comments is real

anyway I bet they'll end up just like the psp and ds,  hopefully with a whole lot less piracy

agreed but theres still no guarantee MH4  or Monster Hunter 3G will be system sellers. you understand my point right?

Let's look at some sales figures of systems before Monster Hunter releases in Japan (since MH is really big over there).

Monster Hunter Tri (released on August 1, 2009)
Wii the week before release - 23k
Wii the week during release - 94k
Wii the week after release - ~47k

Monster Hunter Frontier Online (released on June 24, 2010)
360 the week before - ~2k
360 the week during release - 17k
360 the week after release - 7.6k

Monster Hunter Freedom 3 (released on December 1, 2010)
PSP the week before - ~76k
PSP the week during release - ~328k
PSP the week after - 152k

I think it's pretty safe to say (I checked to see if any other big releases were released during those weeks, but didn't find anything concrete) that Monster Hunter moves systems in Japan, at least.

anyway I bet they'll end up just like the psp and ds,  hopefully with a whole lot less piracy. dito but i think the sells will be closer not that it matters.

I understand that there's no guarantee that they will be system sellers or not, but if a game can get a dead system, like the 360 in Japan, to sell more than 8 times its normal week, there's going to be high speculation that it will push people to buy the 3DS.

If that's not your point, then what is?
