I'm playing Dimensions at the moment and I am loving the game. I am definitely getting this when it is released.

Holy crap Sony fans must be going nuts. This being the first mainstream DOA title to come to PS3. I mean DOA 3,4 were both Microsoft exclusive I can't believe its actually going to come to PS3. I bet Sony pulled alot of strings and Microsoft probably slipped up, because last I had heard Team Ninja were pretty big MS fans. I wonder if this is largely due to the 360 being pulled from most retailers in Japan. If Tecmo wants to target Japan they needed to bring it to PS3!

How is that still surprising,  did you missed the time whene Ninja Gaiden released on PS3?

I think it's more about ps3 gaining in sales and getting very close to 360 numbers of HW. and also dominating currently in Japan and EMEAA. unless MS offered something it would have been stupid NOT to go multiplat

and were sony fans really asking for it that much? :S I could never understand the appeal behind the series, guess it's not my kind of game

huh,it just because Itagaki left temco, and KOEI always close to Sony

and how the hell it dominating in EMEAA

is that so? good for the company then

cuz ps3 has been outselling the 360 comfortably even before price cut?

Yes that is true. I based my suprise on the fact that when DOA4 was announced 360 exclusive alot of interviews with Team Ninja expressed that they had undying support for Microsoft. With Itagaki gone this may have a changed but prior to this announcement all indications were that DOA would be a Microsoft exclusive for quit some time.

Then again we have known for awhile that Team Ninja was developing a multiplat game for PS3/360 so I shouldn't have been as suprised. I guess it makes sense however looking at sales Koei sold more copies on X-Box then all of the Sony games combined. It was X-Box that really brought DOA into the place of competition (According to VGChartz stats).

Just look at how poorly DOA performed prior to going X-Box exclusive! It is sort of a shocker that Tecmo would actually return to Sony after all those dismal failures!(if VGChartz data is accurate). Infact according to VGChartz DOA:Dimensions on 3DS has already sold more copies then half the series. Maybe VGChartz data isn't that accurate on DOA, if it is I see very little reason for Tecmo Koei to bring DOA to PS3!

Check the sales again =p.................   Then again only games from DOA 4 will be mostly accurate.

After Ninja gaiden on PS3 and PS3 getting DOA characters in the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 it was for me rather obvious that DOA will end up multiplatform.

That's pretty cool I guess. Never was a big fan of fighters though but it's good for people who like them.
