Has MS ever banned alt accounts for other regions? I've never had a problem with my Japanese and European PSN accounts and I would hope it's the same with MS as well as long as it's just for accessing region-specific games or content.

I'm pretty sure XBL Silver is free.

It is. I have silver accounts for Japan and the US.

Actually, there are some very strict laws in regards to just this happening.  If you spend this money, and don't give it back once they determine the error, you WILL be charged with theft, and likely have other criminal charges against you as well.

Even though it was completely the banks error, it is not, nor was ever, technically your money.

Microsoft gave a few thousand accounts live points on accident. The people getting banned spend those live points in the mean time instead of reporting it.


Nope. Those people on CAG were never banned and there are hundreds of users that took advantage of it.

Nice guess though.

That isn't true at all and you would have plenty of pissed off people if that were the case, me included!  I received an unexpected 1200 point boost from that as did many other people I know,  immediately spent it, and I'm not banned.
