Forums - Gaming - Why does Fox News have problems with Flower?

wow, i hate biased stories like this, unfortunately it happens all to often. Just like when FOX news had some doctors on and they said, violent video games make people more prone to violence and rape (or something along those lines). the story is labeled "FOX NEWS says games cause rape" when in reality FOX said nothing of the sort.
same case here. its never about who said it, or even what was said, but rather that it was televised on FOX news, the only news source that actually have anchors and commentators, and contributors from both sides of the isle and all accross the political spectrum.
Man the bias in the media is getting ridiculous, i wonder if anyone would know or even care about this, if that person had said that on NBC, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, or CBS. and if we were fortunate to get a story about this, if it was said on the other networks, i wonder if we would be getting titles like "CNN says flower is bad" (even though neither FOX nor the guest mentioned flower)

Flower wasn't even mentioned once, but it was shown off and on repeatedly during the segment.  I am curious why the heck they picked that, since the people doing the show didn't even discuss it.  Is it that it is pretty and makes nice filler when you have nothing else to show?

What bias does Flower have, outside of it having windmills in it?

What else? Does it need anything other than a sick, perveted love of windmills? They might be good enough for the Dutch, but here in the good old US of A,we consider windmills to be only a step away from communism.

i really have no clue whhy they showed it, seems stupid. but it was likely that the host of the show knew nothing about it, and neither did the producers. it seems like it may have been stock footage, perhaps given to them by the guest. which he was really grasping at straws. could they be making baised games. Maybe. but it doesnt matter, unless more and more games are pushing an "aganeda" and theres nothing balancing it out. but right now we still have choices and we can avoid those game if we chose.

my only problem was that, articles like that, and the ones that vgchartz "authors" write, make the story about FOX news, and not the story, or who actually says it. and its never a story if another media outlet shows their lack of knowledge about games

I'm "curious" about your "use" of speech marks around the word authors. I am assuming that you are using them to indicate that you do not believe they actually are authors. However, whilst this may work for terms such as 'artist', 'hero', and the like, it does not work for author. All that is required to be an author is that you write words. An author doesn't stop being an author because you disagree with them. An author doesn't even stop being an author if he somehow manages to write objectively bad material.

It promotes environmentalism and eco-friendly energy, rather than promoting chopping down forests and oil rafineries. The game makes you empathize with nature, rather than with big corporations who want to exploin natural resources and polute the environment. Is it not obvious?

They would rather kids play COD and Halo so they can become better future soldiers while being desensitized to killing people in war. Also they can pick up some good racist and homophobic values from other kids on Xbox Live during the process.

This!
