Originally it was to be released in January, however, they can't even match demand in Japan. Expect it when Japan slows down or they dramatically increase the production of the boards. Probably late February or March.

lol. Where the hell do you live? Here right now its so cold outside my heaters aren't able to properly heat my place and I'm freezing cold just being indoors.

I really think this is another oppurtunity missed by Nintendo as I have seen nothing but weight loss gimmicks on the tv after the New Years.

Now that they have missed that I think the best bet will be March for the US. People seem to like to get fit for the better weather to look better in summer clothes. Nicely between Smash and Mario Kart. Europe will get screwed as usual. Expect it as a holiday title even though I think it will be more important to Wii sucess there than in the US.

 Why can't a top 5 company in Japan produce enough of what they sell?

at the rate of their shipment of WiiFit, I doubt there'll ever be enough spares to ship elsewhere.
They better add more money printing machines* soon, very soon...

*print machines - ram up production by at least 2x for Wii and WiiBoard

Yeah if they can't meet demand in japan then it isn't coming here, a pity Nintendo tends to be overly cautious about such things, but I guess them getting burned on the GCN production made them a little timid



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Because the succes suprised them. No need to produce 5 million the first month, if the game sells 2 million lifetime. I think they have upped production for both Wii Fit and the Wii itself by now. If not, they are crazy.

QFT. Seriously if I had a choice of doing exercise with this or going outside into the freezing cold of winter or the brutal summer heat I'd pick this any day.
