Forums - Microsoft - Battlefield 3 is two discs on Xbox 360

This makes me excited for the game, to be honest. More content generally equals more value, and if anyone minded multiple disc releases, we wouldn't have made Final Fantasy VII through IX some of the best loved, successful games of all time!

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Well Halo: ODST came on two disc, one for campaign, firefight, and the other for the Halo 3 multiplayer DLC maps. So this shouldn't be an issue for me. However, I also own a PS3 so I'm not too certain which one I will buy.

I could care less if its two discs. In fact I've always found it incredibly strange when people complain about switching discs. Honestly if your that lazy that moveing 2 feet to switch a disc which takes 10 seconds then you shouldn't be playing games in the first place. Get up, go outside, and get a freaking workout lol

i have literally purchased games because i was too lazy to swap a disc before. is it the end of the world??  of course not but don't tell me it isn't an inconvenience...that's why the tv remote was invented, because people didn't want to get up to change the channel anymore.  it's why mp3s are soo much better than cd's too.  it's why i watch so much more netflix now (on my ps3); cause the disc based solution sucked.

..and i do go outside and workout.

seems like you should play BF3 on PC or your PS3 can install over 500 discs or you only play 1 PS3 game

@Munkeh111

dude look at my gamerscore. I own 73 games on my 360 alone, not counting PS3, Wii, DS, PSP, or older generation titles and I can still change discs in 20 seconds tops.

People who complain about games being multi disced are either

A) Lazy

or

B) Have ulterior motives.

good

i think all devs need to do this

finally they are starting to use blu ray for what it does best :)

take advantage of what you have THIS GEN(blu ray) and stop taking the 1 disc 8 gig limit route then they can just make the 360 have multiple disc AND we will all have a better game

the devs should just make the game around ps3 THEN make it have multiple disc's for 360

i would of course get the game that's on 1 disc if i had both console's but in the end we all win :)

thats all well and good, but the problem is that MS charges for more than one disc. I believe that Ninty also charges for use of the dual layer disc, you can see how some devs might not be gaga for that idea

Microsoft does not charge a royalty per disc

so what was all that crap Capcom was talking about with Lost Planet 2?? They had to cut content to keep it on 1 disc?? Maybe just usual Capcom crap

Capcom means full of DLC/XYZ edition every year you sould know that
thats why

Non-issue, as long as it's implements properly, not forcing you to constantly swap. Swapping once in a plays session or once in a whole campaign or whatever is so not an issue for anyone who is sane.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Still beats mandatory installing.

Haha...I know right.  However, I don't have a gaming PC so that won't work for me.

how big is it?  the tiny ones don't bother me much but i remember the installs for bioshock and those were ridiculously long and annoying.
