Microsoft: Last chance to get a free Xbox 360

Seems that Microsoft is hard at work to spread out the message to prospective students who to get themselves an Xbox 360 as the program nears it expired date.

A sponsored message has appeared in most people Twitter timeline saying: “Last chance to get a Free @Xbox 360 w/ your Win7 PC. Learn more at http://bit.ly/xboxPC #GetAnXbox”

The free Xbox 360 deal was started few months ago for students who purchased a Windows 7 PC.

Not all vendors participated in the program, so if you are interested yourself, you can check out the official Facebook page about the deal.

Xbox 360 4GB is the free console model offered by Microsoft which ends thru 11:59 p.m. PT on 9/24/2011 or while supplies last.

The offer only available for students age 16-19 and/or with a valid .EDU email address.

It's kind of stupid that the deal only worked with students 16-19

You'd think it was given to 0 - 99 with your groceries the way people go on about it here, but yeah, only a 4 year age range, $700+ PC, limited choice and limited vedors, whilst stocks last. Certain people are trying to make out this is bigger than it is.

Yeah I seriously can't imagine it would have moved more than 5-10k consoles a week max.

Actually the 17-19 yr range represents alot of freshman and sophomore (some cases juniors) in college, therefore it does represent a fairly big demographic, especially in more major cities (Phoenix, Chicago, LA, NY, among others).

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

They need to make more deals like this in the future as well...
