Heh, yeah. Jarrod was saying I was being blindly optimistic back in March and April when I was saying that PS3s 2011 would beat 2010 in Japan. It's only down YOY by about 180k and sales from October through December last year were extremely mediocre. It'll probably wipe out that YOY decline in the next couple months or so.

According to the source from the Japan preview, he's predicting not much of a hw boost for FF XIII-2 since people already bought the hw for the original title. .

Well, if it has a bundle with a pretty sweet custom PS3 in it, it will still push HW.  Then again, if FF XIII has the same stigma in Japan as it does in the States, they may not be as excited for the second go around.

So they actually do have pics of the Ni no Kuni PS3 now. I don't know, I'm kind of underwhelmed by it...I was expecting better after how nice the Xillia PS3 looks.
