There you have it. If the stock does not go up sometime in the next month then that is probably the reason!

Or more likely, that Nintendo still refuses to make a sequel to their biggest IP.

yes, it is pretty weird that they dont have the new super mario bros 3ds out just yet, that should be a big priority... it seems like they are doing the right thing with the new super mario bros mii though, but still...

I think Apple is kicking everyones ass right now, in terms of market confidence in any competitor to Apple, but I just bought some more NTDOY this morning (tonight - its 2am here) where its pretty much at the bottom of the 52 week range.

3DS will have a good Christmas, and hey, it can't get much worse.

On the plus side, the US Dollar is up, so Im technically making money the longer i keep it in US Currency.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Well I'm taking advantage of today's market fall to finally get some Apple positions...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

They have made it. It's coming out this year. Mario Kart. Look at the sales figures. Trollage complete.

The problem will be that the 3DS is not a 'whole family' version of the game and may (pretty damn likely) not sell as well as the Wii iteration.

Yes.

Investors are hilarious. They go on the advice of people like Pachter, who was wrong so many times it makes me cry.

based on current evidence, the possibility of nintendo being as successful as it has been in the last 5+ years is incredibly slim.

therefore, people sell because:

1) they think their stock will go down in value

2) they don't think that they will be getting enough dividends in the coming years

nothing to do with Pachter

^The sure bet is Apple not succeeding like they used to, because Android, and a Job less Apple, can't be good things for the company.

Eg. todays reaction to the IPhone "upgrade"

If 3DS sales are not undertracked, Nintendo is on the way to dominate the market again with his big system sellers, and that means it's value will increase a lot in the coming months. I actually think its stock price is too low that it should be considering the situation of the company (sure they'll make small profits, but that's mainly due to yen strength).

I think it should be close to 370,000 consoles sold this week for nintendo total! That is just a guesstimate that I am sure S...or rol...will come and complain about but whatever it is they will easily out sell everyone . So why is the stock not at around 50 then????? People forget the iphone! At this time Nintendo is not doing it!!!

The average person looks at the market and thinks it will be the same forever. Now they think smartphone have come to kill anything, gaming included; 20 years ago PCs were supposed to do the same. When the market will prove there's still a space for a dedicated gaming console, stock price will rise. Now the main problem is Wii, since its sales declined so sharply that everything good in the last years (for example the profits from NSMBW) has been offset by it...but right now, it can't ruin that much the performance of Nintendo as a whole.

Same as the above, but i´ll just add the rebuying of stock aswell. Big news always gets people excited! :D

Well I am excited because I am selling my stock in the company. That was too nerve racking for me this past month!

Are you kidding? NTDOY is a long term investment dude. Wut price did u pay for the shares?

Im going to hold mine for 2 or 3 years atleast, because even if the 3DS isn't a success, a Nintendo mobile device is bound to be produced, and I wouldn't bet against that, especially in a market thats moving on to Android devices, and away from this IPhone cult.

The dividends are impressive too, so theres that bit of comfort for the time being.

My I ask through which company you buy the stocks?

I'd like to get into the market, but here in South Africa none of the trading companies sell Nintendo (or any other vg stocks for that matter).

Woah I sounded like a stupid noob there

Anyways, how about someone starts a 'trading thread' with details etc.? You'll get a ton of gamr points (please)
