Forums - General - NFL playoff predictions (who will make the Super Bowl?)

you dont understand how could the cowboys lose to the giants if they beat them both times and now they are getting their second WR back Terry Glenn, the only reason the lost to the redskins was becasue the mainly rested all of their starters for the playoffs, plus they didnt even have many of their starters to begin with, th eonly team in the nfc that could beat them is greenbay, but even if they do make it the nthe superbowl they will probally lose to the pats.

Wrong most of the cowboys starters that were healthy were in the game only a few like T.O. were out (four starters in total), and T.O. may not even be in the playoffs at this rate, no they played most of their starters in the first half, but by then were so far gone they pulled them out in the second

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Redskins are garbage. They will lose 1st round, wait and see. And the Giants have a strong defence, but you forget they have one thing that will break them: Eli Manning. I guarentee he wont show up in the playoffs. He'll fumble and throw interceptions like he always has.

This weekend predictions:

Jacksonville beats Pittsburgh.
Sandiego beats Tennessee.
Tampa Bay beats New York.
Seattle beats Washington.

Stick to video games my friend

Jacksonville beating pittsburgh and SD beating tennesse are both highly likely

I see the Pats vs. Colts in AFCGG. But there in NO way the Colts, a dome team, go up to NE and win in January. Its just not going to happen. The weather will affect the Colts MUCH more than the Pats.

The NFC I see the Packers over Cowboys.

Then I see Favre announcing the superbowl will be his last game. The SB ratings will be the highest ever and NE beats GB 41-31.

Seattle winning at home is one of the safest bets you can make in the NFL too.

Not that they aren't playing for anything BS, they played their starters for over a half and Romo's tantrum on the sideline wasn't faked, the cowboys are going to lose big

I see the ads between pages has returned...  :(

On topic: Tell me - precisely what motivation did ANY of the Cowboys have for that game? Besides the 'rivalry', what on earth would propell the top-seed to play 'all out' for a game like this? You want to know how meaningless this game was? I have DirecTv and the Sunday Ticket - get it every year. I've watched every Cowboy game this year (as well as every other game I could flip back-and-forth between)...     ...I realized at 8pm Sunday night that I missed the Cowboy/Redskin game - THAT ought to tell you something.

Big whoop - they played their starters for a little more than a half. How many times have the Cowboys come back from GREATER deficits this year??? Two touchdowns (by the time Romo came out)?!?!?!? LOL!!!!!! You're out of your mind if you're going to judge the entire playoff outcome over that game. And let's not forget that Terrance Newman, our best corner, didn't play one snap in that game. But, I'll humor you - let's analyze this 'streak':

The Skins eeked by a TERRIBLE Bears team in Washington (a team the Cowboys humiliated in Chicago)
You got a split with the Giants (a team the Cowboys beat twice)
The Vikings, probably the most 'impressive' win out of all (oh, and a team the Cowboys also beat)
And then this latest game (discussed above)

That's your streak? That's what you're going to base the Redskin success on???? Do we just ignore the 5-7 record (including a 4 game losing streak) that immediately preceeded this????

Oh my, looking at it this closely, perhaps even I've given them too much credit - they might not get past the Seahawks!!!!

The Cowboys had a chance to keep the 'Skins out of the playoffs (as long as the Vikings could win).  That's what they were playing for.  They only stopped trying once it was evident that Denver was handling the Vikings.

No one wants to play the Redskins, because it's not an easy win.  Anyone who has watched them play the last few weeks can tell you that they have been looking good on defense and offense.  They're an entirely different team.

But it's all moot.  The Giants own the NFC brackets this year :P

My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):

Wii : 50 million

360: 28 million

PS3: 24 million

These predictions were made on January 3rd and won't be revised

Actually the Cowboys were playing, they were hoping to get some records for their team and its players, face it you can make all the exuses you want but they steamrolled the cowboys, while the cowboys were actually trying, yeah it was two touchdowns at the half, but the cowboys offense had been shutdown all night and their defense outmanuevared, as for the 5-7 team, different QB and a new fire, they'll beat past the hawks and then roll over the boys, I hear green bay is cold and crisp this time of year
