im sorry but these guys are just have no life what so ever i mean they waste there life trying to hack consoles actually pretty much anything electronic. Why don't you do something productive instead contributing to crime and get a life.

Obviously hackers come in all shapes and sizes and some might just hack because they love to mess with technology, others do it to enable piracy.

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

It sounds like hard work trying to hack the 360-S. It will become easier to hack/mod over time.

Older model 360s are far easier to hack and are more a go with mods/hackers looking to play copied games. Mods/hackers do not give a damn whether they will be banned from XBox Live.

DIY videos on Youtube show how easy it is to hack/mod an XBox 360 consoles.

After doing shit like this for a while finding a job isn't a problem - people who can do this sort of thing are headhunted.

Also after four years of Computer Engineering I can now pretty much follow what they did there on the hardware side of things. JTAG is really nifty.

OP probably hopping this will effect 360 sales.

That melted my brain.

If you read the whole article you see it is a extremely hard thing to accomplish. Something the most gamers won't be able to do ( and you need extra hardware). So i don't think it's a threat of piracy or something

Not a problem really. We have whole companies that make business on modding consoles in Poland ;)

This will be too difficul for the vast majority to implement and in fairness there is far easier options for those who just want to pirate which is the people most of you guys dislike.

On the otherhand I welcome this news as it might finally kickstart the homebrew camps into action as they've been rather quiet due to how few JTAG 360's there have been up until now. I'm hoping for continued improvements on the media player front and some interesting uses of Kinect in homebrew apps.

The real Kinect work is happening on the PC, community for it has just exploded.

Good luck pulling off this hack.... Way too hard to even bother.
