Hilarious.

And yes its exaggerated thats the job. And I also wonder when/if Nintendo will create a new game ever. (Games with Mii's don't count)

Hopefully the next mainstay Mario won't involve the princess getting kidnapped again (Ha! That'd be like a Zelda game without Ganon! Oh wait...). As for where they can take it from here, there's plenty of options left. Personally, I'd enjoy seeing a return to the "world map with level select" idea from SMB3 and SMW, taken to a whole new level. A free-roaming series of hub maps linking to sub-areas, in other words. As for what new control mechanic they could add, how about they revive and enhance the flight mechanics of the past 3D games? Flight was the one thing in SM64 and SMG that was always insanely fun, but way too short-lived when you got the chance to use it.

Just my own take on it, but the series has plenty of untreaded ground and re-treadable ground that they have yet to do or perfect in 3D.

A flight-based Mario platformer would be pretty cool. I'd imagine Miyamoto could do it justice as atrue spiritual sequel to NiGHTS, unlike the apparently lackluster Journey of Dreams.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I disagree with a lot of the people defending Mario Galaxy here. I watched the review, and I don't think he was really dissing that badly on Mario Galaxy as much as the phenomena surrounding it.

As he stated; "Okay, I admit it, the game was FUN"

he bitched about the camera angles and the control, and I agree, they were one of the most frustrating elements of the game. Once you get used to them, it's not that bad, but he's still got a totally valid point. I had actually joked to myself about how the star creatures turning into planets when you feed them was actually a subliminal diet message, so when he pointed that out, i thought it was hilarious.

the rest of his comments were more about the other franchises and how the characters and the similar script has held up and he raises a valid point about where to go from this point. I'm sure Nintendo will figure out something, but I still remain curious as to what.

same seems hes not funny when he attacks SMG its not funny but when he attacks bioshock and halo it is /sigh

SMG is a good game but it does have problems

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Where to go from here?

GTA:Mushroom Kingdom Stories
(Itsa me, Mario!!! blam blam blam)

Currently Playing:  Saints Row 2 | Battlefield 2 | Company of Heroes

Recently Beaten: Gears of War | Super Mario Galaxy | Darwinia | MGS4 | Sam and Max Ep. 4, Portal | Mirror's Edge | Uncharted | Mass Effect

Looking Forward to: Alan Wake | Splinter Cell : Conviction | The Last Guardian | Batman: Arkham Asylum | SMG2 | Mass Effect 2 |

Nah, this was plenty funny. Just a bit lacking in the usual "crushing the game for little nitpicky reasons that most can relate to" bent. I actually laughed quite a bit at it, though I found myself not agreeing personally with a few of his points (particularly the bit about controller waggling being tiring; I went through more than half the game in a single sitting once with no problems at all).

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

This is my favorite one.

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

I almost feel out of my chair during the part about Mario and Bowsers relationship.... lol, too funny : )

Is there a Halo one? THAT would be funny

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.
