ok im having some trouble getting my PS3 online because my comcast router thing is not working, it just times out everytime i try so i was wondering if anyone could help me or give me any suggestions about other ways i should try to get my PS3 online

I use comcast, I have no problem with my PS3. PM me details and I'll research it a little for you.

Do you have a wireless router, is it one of those hybrid models where it's a router and modem in one or is it a 3rd party router hooked off of a modem. What brand is everything?

I've heard of problems with many of the routers supplied by ISPs. They're usually about the cheapest damned router made and tend to burn out quickly.

You can pick up a decent G router for about $50. Just go buy a new one and I guarantee it will work.

Any electronics store. Linksys, Netgear, any of those brands will work. You can get even cheaper ones if you don't want wireless.
