The 250GB 360 is already cheaper than that cheapest PS3 (160GB).  They need exclusive games that aren't the third or forth outing of the series on the 360.  If people like Gears, Halo and Forza they have had several reasons of each to buy a 360 already.

You mean not like the ones below? Have any of these games incentivized people to buy PS3's? Anybody?

Well since  only two games on that list are on their third outing (Both of which will have a good chance to be killed off after this generation too)

 

Don't let that get in the way of pulling down the collective trousers of the MS Defense force though and trying to 'pwn' everyone with horrible, flawed logic.

The game is only releasing in Japan this year, so even if it isn't a PS3 exclusive (not sure if it is a timed exclusive in Japan like XIII was) it will only push PS3.

Ok, after reading the source article in the OP, the MS rep is NO WHERE quoted as saying that they will NOT cut the price.

Now, that being said, will they? Who knows. I still strongly believe that the more they talk about being the top selling console WORLDWIDE in 2011 the more likely that there will be a price cut. I'm sure we'll know soon enough, because I really can't see them cutting it if it doesn't happen next month.

But they will emphatically deny it up until it happens. That's the way it's always been and likely the way it will always be.
