It won't be the HDDVD as MS wants us to move to digital distribution like they already have on the Marketplace.

I kinda agree. Y'know I think that Michael Bay or whatever (You know the guy who made the Transformer's movie) conspiracy is right. Microsoft does want to move to digital distribution.

more news :According to Stuff Magazine, a rumored Xbox 360 Ultimate SKU is set to hit in Autumn 2008. This 'PS3 killer' will benefit from three years of Xbox development, featuring 1080p HDMI output, built in WiFi, hi-def audio output, cooler architecture and a near silent fan. It'll also have a built in HD-DVD drive and take advantage of IPTV services with a 320GB hard disk.

Autumn of 08? By then a winner will more than likely be decided.

Also by autumn of 08 the ps3 will probaly be 50 to 100 dollars cheaper than it is now, whats this going to launch at? Id bet at least 500, if not 450.

I lol'd when it said that it will help penetrate the japanese market. Thats just what japan wants, an over priced xbox. Also i was under the impression the the reason bluray is so dominant in japan is because the japanese were upset with toshiba for something to do with china. Idk  exactly what it was about but i doubt this will come to fruition.

One of the last times he spoke- they were looking into Better Motion Controls than the Wii. It is possible that they may have found something.

Motion controllers that look like the Wii Nunchuk could soon be very common place for cell phone gamers. They already exist and will be released to maket very soon.

/sarcasm
its going to be a 360 that won't break down.

i think it will be hd-dvd player built in already.

I believe xbox 360 motion controls before i believe hd dvd 360.

Speaking as someone who never had a side in the HD wars, it is clear that, barring WB jumping exclusively to HDDVD, the war is all but over and BluRay has won. MS has kept HD alive as long as possible to undermine BluRay, but actively attatching the 360 to it would by tying an anchor around it's neck. The time to do that would have been 2 years ago, but it would have delayed the release of the 360 and increased its cost, and, in the end, still might have fallen to BluRay (indeed, a more expensive 360, released 6mos - 1 yr later, would almost certainly have come up short against the PS3).

New SKU to match the PS3 (Wifi and HD-DVD). Makes sense since my PS3 wouldn't even be connected to internet if it wasn't for WiFi. Also a big part of my choice was the integrated Blu-Ray for movies. Also a few fixes to fix the hardware glitches and annoyances. Or a price drop....
