Forums - Sony - Sony Plans to Bundle PS3 and Vita Versions of Ruin in One Package

This move will only loose Sony money. I doubt many will subscribe to PSN+ for this feature. Meaning many will sell their PSV copy or PS3 copy depending on which console they own. Others will play on both but only a few will likely upgrade to PSN+ because of it. In the end its a good promotional move but I don't see it making much of an impact!

Most likely the vita version will be a download code and will have to be linked to the same account as the ps3 version, also read my post above this has nothing to do with PSN+

PSN PLUS IS NOT CLOUD

This game does not use the online storage that you get with PSN+ it uses the 1MB online saves that all games get reguardless of PSN+ for example if you delete your KZ2 save your online rank remains intact cos that is stored online in that games 1MB title storage.

So YES Ruin save will be transferable for all users as the save will be saved in Title storage, not PSN+ online storage.

The online storage that PSN+ offers is not really cloud storage, cloud implies you can save and load from that space and you simply cant, its just an online backup, that you must manually copy the save from if you ever want to load from them.

"We have a system called Title User Storage, which allows 1MB of data on our servers for game, and that can be accessed on both platforms; you can access that same data.

You can save your game on PS3, go over to Vita, pull that data back and swap it between them, so you can play a game at home, take it on the train and continue."

oh thats good then, thanks for clarifying.

this is a very nice move by sony and im am pretty happy they atleast are doing this one time with vita. I would be nice if they did this with all vita ps3 combo games but i now its not cost effective and im sure the reason they are doing this is to hook you on playing games that can be picked up on vita so you'll buy 2 versions of all games that are capable of this, which is crappy to me. If the 2nd purchase was discounted or something id be a little more inclined perhaps but not full price. I mean with movies i can get a digital copy to take with me on my phone or whatever it'd be nice to have the same thing going on here aswell.

I think this move is more a matter of pushing Vita and its crossplay ability then pushing PS plus. Like someone stated already, the 2 version will probably be linked to PSN account.
