Forums - Sales - BluRay totally controlling Amazon DVD sales

Can we start handing out one day bans for posting Amazon results or something? :P

well as others have said, Amazon has a bogo sale right now on boo-ray discs -, so lets divide the totals by 2 for BD or, we can just realize amazon is a very small precentage of sales and theres a buy one get one going on. yeah.

What's wrong with posting? Well, thing is, this shouldn't be in sales and should be in Off Topic.

Rumor has it that ms, toshiba, and warner brothers had meeting last week and warner brothers is speaking exclusively at the hd dvd press conference next week. Im a blu supporter but we havent won yet and im begining to fear the worst.

Well heres some news (not rumor) that the chief technology officer of warner bros takes over sony's tech dept. This probaly means nothing but perhaps this rumored meeting ms had with warner brothers means that wb is going blu exclusive and ms wants to set up a service to download movies similiar to what disney does? Who knows.

oh heres the link.

@dabaus513,

I'm not really sure what Warner Bros. will do, but I suspect that any change from their platform agnostic stance will come from an unannounced deal from one of the controlling groups

Amazon is having a buy one get one free blu ray promotion. Warner Brothers is suspected of going Blu-Ray Exclusive as well.

Yeah, i would think the bluray disc association would throw lots of money towards wb, i mean arent there like 100 companies on the bda? I think that many could outbid microsoft who apparently throws money to studios to switch to the losing side. We wont know til next week but i think wb will go hd exclusive, and thus create a stalemate.

BLu ray CES trailer. http://bluraydisc.com/bluray_site.htm

Song sucks but it still has wb listed as supporters. If they played that commerical for the super bowl it would be a very wise decision.
