During .hack//The Movie‘s reveal presentation yesterday, Namco Bandai CEO Shin Unozawa mentioned the Blu-ray release of the movie would would be a hybrid disk, which will include both the CG film a “small” PlayStation 3 game.
Today, speaking on Twitter, CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama teased the PlayStation 3 game. Responding to a fan who said he hopes the game will be just as absorbing as the movie, Matsuyama responded, “I’d like to shout out in a loud voice, it’s not just a bonus!” He added, “I wonder if I’ll get in trouble again.”
Matsuyama’s comments seem to hint at the game being more than just the “small” game Unozawa originally made it out to be.
.hack//The Movie is out in Japanese theaters in January 2012. The Blu-ray release date has not been announced.
