Favorite game of the generation: Valkyria Chronicles, great and charming game. Full of amazing moments, clever design, good and round story and great caharacter design, spent hundreds of hours in this game, Mario galaxy and Demon Souls and my second and third place.

Favorite Internet moment: Final fantasy XIII Xbox360 announced; oh yes, Who can't forget that day; the Internet was in full stupid mode, meltdowns erupted everywhere; just check at this delicious rage:

Sad thing, the meltdowns were way more fun than the game.

demon souls? probably my most hated game of my entire life, not just this generation.

that ff13 thing was just insane. i couldn't believe how many people went up in arms over that, then decided to buy the game anyway, then decided to say that it sucks, then decided to blame the 360. so ridiculous.

more nintendo fans than anything else :0 well yeah, nintendo is the winner of the generation anyway

the highlight of this gen for me has to be online gaming in general..i had never played a game online before whether it was xbox, pc, ps2 or whatever. I had gotten high speed internet a little later than most of my other friends, but it was a memorable day when i finally got it. It was Opening Day for MLB 2007 and my first crack at online gaming. It was all about Gears of War back then...i would spend countless hours at night and early mornings playing this game with my bro and friends. We played that game to death and every time we played it we had an absolute blast.Best online experience ive had Then after gears 2 came out and ruined gears for me it was on to other online games such as NHL 09 where i was ranked 425 at one point in the world. So many unforgettable wins and moments with that game. I still play it to this day. NBA Jam the same thing. Such great online co-op with a friend, taking on other teams of 2 was amazing. Played that almost every day for a couple months.

As for a single player experience...gotta go with Bioshock..no game from this gen will match what Bioshock was to me. I bought it because there was nothing good to play at the time and I thought it looked ok and heard some good things about it. So i gave it a try and man am I happy i did that. Just the atmosphere of the game was incredible. The city of Rapture was gorgeous, it felt real and alive while I was playing it.

oh damn, bioshock. i don't know if i should rate that as a good experience or not. when i first saw a big daddy beating up on some splicers, i thought, "hey, he's not a bad guy". then i accidentally hit him with a shot, and he just comes charging like a crazy bastard and i nearly crap on my pants. that was pretty scary.

I spent most of this generation playing COD online. Probably the most fun i'll ever have in gaming.

Other than that just rocking Nintendo Wii with mates. Awesome times!!

too soon? Are you crazy. The next gen is already way overdo. Next gen should have started a couple of years ago at least. Generation times should be shortening not lengthening.

shorter generations = less good games because developers have less time learning the hardware.

shorter generations = more money spent because consumers have to buy more new hardware.

shorter generations = a bad thing.

1. learning the hardware has no value in rapid cycles

2.  Get a job. buying a new console every 2 years is a pittance

3.  Couldn't be more wrong

-When I first saw Gears of War running on a TV in my house. I suddenly went from not caring about Xbox 360 to knowing I would soon be buying my own (my nephew brought it to my house. It looked so good, I didn't even want to play it--just watch). I knew the next gen had begun.

-The first time I played Wii Sports. I wanted a Wii but I didn't even know why. Well, after going several counties over (job related), I took a detour to Gamestop and they had a few Wii's in stock. I fired up Wii Sports when I got home and suddenly my imagination ran wild with the possibilities. Of course, a lot of them never came true but, at that moment, video gaming felt new again.

-Horde Mode in Gears of War 2. Nowadays, you can't take a piss outside with your childhood friends without hitting a game with some sort of horde mode. Well Gears was my first. All of my friends were down and things were looking bad. Suddenly, everybody was watching me and cheering for me to keep the team alive. I was diving, weaving, and shooting for my life. When that last Locust died and everybody cheered for me, it felt like I had won the Superbowl. I even got a few friend requests for my performance. Of course, we all died the next round. I don’t think I ever played Horde Mode in GeoW2 after that day, ever again.

-Sex scene in God of War 3. I spent most of my life searching for that perfect video game sexy moment. I paused Chun Li at just the right moment in Street Fighter 2 (SNES). I built sexy created wrestlers in WWE Smackdown (PS1-360). I used cheat codes in Leisure Suit Larry (PS2) and Dead or Alive 2 (PS2). Well, with GoW3, my search had come to an end. Aphrodite......wow.
