In 2 weeks we will see if Gears of War 3 will boost sales as much as Halo Reach did. Also sales generally start to climb then.

@Seece You mentioned that TGS is the most likely place for MS to announce a price cut, right? What sort of presence are they going to have there? Major showing on the floor? Keynote address?

I think you already know the answer to that, and I maintain mine. It's not that fact it IS TGS that they'll announce it there, it's that it's the best available platform at that time. I believe even if TGS was in December, they would announce a price cut next week. It's just that TGS is at a great time (just before Gears) that they will use the function to announce it.

I could be flat out wrong but then I'll be very surprised if they don't cut this year, and in the likely hood they will, I think it'll be before Gears so ... this week.

It was a genuine question. I don't know the answer to it. I haven't really been keeping up with TGS this year.

Oh right, well, they have very little and no keynote to my knowledge. There is GAMEfest going on in the UK at the same time though.

I hope MS cuts the 360 soon. It would be unusual if MS gave Sony the holidays sales simply because they refused to cut price. I'm thinking they are waiting on something before they cut price. Maybe a big new announced game for Kinect?
