doubt it

tony hawk died because really skateboarding did, that whole image in the late 90 - early 2000s is gone now noone want to be a punk skater anymore, its also not even close as popular on tv as it was

GH idk whats up with that and what happened maybe b/c you cant have laddy gaga and katey perry on those games?

it may feel dry to some but once the new engine for it comes out next gen and some pressure from the more realistic BF3 is felt i believe that next gen it'll still be as big

yeah the mud slinging is good its funny to read and applies more pressure on each side end result we get funny articles and better games

"Last year Activision had a 90 share in the shooter category. This year, Battlefield 3 is going to take you down to 60 or 70. At that rate, you’ll be out of the category in 2-3 years'

laughs out loud yeah and with that MW3 will still sell more than BO, b/c the so called shooter cat. is only gettin bigger, BF3 will not take anything from COD mainly b/c BF3 wont offer the same experience as COD

are you for real?? They milked the crap outta that. One main GH, then a Van Helen, then a Mettalica, a Green Day, then a Band Hero, then a DJ hero all in the same damn year. Of course it was going to go under, they got damn greedy and should have made some of that stuff DLC

Everyone forgets how bad EA was in the PS2/XBOX generation. They were the same evil company Activision became this generation.

Oh well i do not personally endorse EA's tactics but nevertheless it is entertaining to watch two of the biggest and richest companies (people) fighting like a bunch of little kids. My &%#&(product) is better than yours. No mine is better. Just great.

THis, wasnt EA doing the same crap with MOH?? There just mad because people stopped playing those and started playing COD

I hope so....Call of Duty is just holding the Video Game Industry back with its yearly rehashes!!

Exactly this.

Can you actually come up with a sound argument as to how it's holding the industry back? Actually it goes someway to propping it up ..

Yearly releases with little improvement from it's predecesesors is rather simply put, bad.

Eduard Khil would be so proud of EA!

Again how is that holding the VG industry back? Is that dictating all other VG companies? I don't see how, when was the last battlefield game?

doesn't EA do the same thing.

Okay let's face it Call of Duty won't last to long. But if games like Madden, Fifa, NBA e.t.c just keep getting bigger why will Call of Duty slow down? BF3 might do some damage to Modern Warfare 3 but that won't stop it from being the biggest Call of Duty game. If Battlefield 3 does well in reception and sales Battlefield 4 might just have a chance of taking down Call of Duty. Although the only thing that can really destroy Call of Duty is Grand Theft Auto. The PS3/360 install base is higher than what the PS2 had back in 2004. With a November release date, the hype GTA SA had and with the reception of a regular GTA game it can take down Call of Duty no problem as no COD has outsold GTA SA despite all the piracy for the PS2 back then. GTA V is the only one game that has a chance to bring TPS back into the top. Halo couldn't do it and BF doesn't look likely to destroy the COD series.

GTA: SA (PS2): Just over 19m GTA: SA (Xbox): Just under 2m GTA SA total: just over 21m

Black Ops total: >25m

Modern Warfare 2 total: >23m

And Cod is only getting bigger, while GTA isn't as big as it was

I'm talking indivusal SKU. And beleive me GTA can become bigger than SA

Meh, Uncharted 3 is going to be better than both those games anyway....I'm still picking up BF3 though, words can't describe the amount of hatred I have for COD ever since MW2. I don't hate the franchise because it makes a crap load of cash each year, I just hate the crappy treatment the PS3 versions of the games get, so that franchise is s#!t to me now.

I see your point, it's just that the cod yearly releases come out out each year with little improvement. So pretty much that's well in a way holding back what cod games should be like, they should be getting a lot better, but instead they're always the same or extremely similar. Each game looks the same, plays the same, and each game comes out with about 4 map packs that are price at 15 bucks each.
