Yearly releases with little improvement from it's predecesesors is rather simply put, bad.

Again how is that holding the VG industry back? Is that dictating all other VG companies? I don't see how, when was the last battlefield game?

I see your point, it's just that the cod yearly releases come out out each year with little improvement. So pretty much that's well in a way holding back what cod games should be like, they should be getting a lot better, but instead they're always the same or extremely similar. Each game looks the same, plays the same, and each game comes out with about 4 map packs that are price at 15 bucks each.
