Anyway the sales in Japan are thx to MS giving up.   They had plenty of weeks where they did outsell the PS3 and they had a small community of fans who showed love for the X360 remember the cat eating girl who was trying to convince people to get an X360 but MS let the community die....

What happened with Panzer dragoon btw?

MS can't give up on Japan, I better get Persona 5 on 360, or I'll be pissed.

I don't want to have to contemplate buying a PS3 just for that ONE JRPG that Sony may get exclusivity to if MS don't get their act straight.

microsoft is the real culprit this gen for the low sales of jrpgs to an extent it would be better 360 to get out of japan star ocean ,tales as 360 exclusives at the start performed awful then it was rereleased in japan and solg better on ps3 so why should developers make games for 360 there ?

MS just needs to take a long look in the mirror and improve their ability to localize. it's pretty obvious to me that this is their weak point seeing as they do soo incredibly well in every english speaking territory and terrible everywhere else. plenty of other companies have struggled in foreign cultures and managed to turn things around by listening the that markets specific needs. MS could succeed there too if they really wanted to.

I agree with kowenicki...they don´t need Japan to get Japanese developers on board...also, I think everyone knows this, but remember home consoles are becoming less and less important in Japan, taking a backseat to handhelds.

If MS had a dedicated gaming handheld, then maybe a fight would be worth it over there, but since we´re talking home consoles, I think it´s a waste of money and energy on their part.

Home consoles no longer need Japan in order to be relevant and successful.
