well 3 of the last 3 presidents reached across the aisle to get legislation passed, and only 2 was able to be successful in doing so.

i say it all the time. the President has no more power then the Congress and Senate will let him have, and if the otherside isn't willing to work with the President then nothing gets done.

From a pure rational point of view, this is of course ridiculous.
But this is democracy, so the other side is always looking for potential "scandals".

And there's an emotional component as well: If it's true that this campaign tour is mainly about "creating jobs", then a canadian bus is indeed bit of a bad choice. As it can be interpreted as "even the US president doesn't believe in american products".

"Americans" don't care about the bus. Especially when its the same bus type/company that Bush and Clinton used.

Its the damn republican party who has been going overboard on its attempt to destroy Obama in any possible way... even if it meant the collapse of the government itself.

Seriously why are so many American's pissed that Obama honours free trade and buys products from Canada. Geez maybe Canadian's should stop buying American products because we are in a recession. Maybe the Prime Minister should stop flying in an American plane and american armoured cars.

These are the basics of free trade, why are American's only support free trade when it benefits them but the second Obama buys a Canadian bus all hell breaks loose!

Whats your thoughts, is this completely insaine or does CNN and the NewYork Post and other journalistic organisations have a point. And if they have a point why shouldn't Obama be driven in a Canadian made bus?



Americans are mostly dont care about the above.. they care about day to day things Obama said he would fix and didnt.  In fact 4 yrs ago he won and campaingned on George Bush spending too much.  Fast forward to now... Obama has spent more in 4 yrs then Bush did in 8 yrs.. thats a fact...  he has made the deficit worse.  He also almost broke every campaign promise he made 4 yrs ago.  He said he would pull out of Iraq immediately.. the first week in office he said he needed a few more weeks.. then when he finally "Ended" the war in Iraq almost 3yrs later ..( although we're still there ) he didnt really end it.. All he did was HONOR the agreement already signed by George Bush and the Iraq govt ( right before Bush left office ) that said we would end the war in mid 2010 ( this agreement is on wikipedia ) .. So all the Obama lovers who dont know anything say "See he ended the war" when all that really happened was GW Bush's agreement came into effect so he had to end the war 'per' that agreement... While campaigning for President he also said GW Bush was VERY wrong signing the Patriot Act ( because  said it  infringed on Americans rights and made it legal to spy on anyone with NO CRIMINAL RECORD aka tap their phone)..So Obama pledged to liberal he would change this and also close down Guantanamo Bay immediately in weeks ...so what did Obama do ? He didnt get rid of it.. He re-signed all same PAtriot Act as if he were  Bush !   Also Guantanamo never got closed.. What a hypocrit ! ... then not only does he keep us in Iraq... he starts another war in Afghanastain ! So.. then he and other democrats write up a "Health care reform " that is very unfiar.. the original version said once you took govt healthcare you couldnt switch off to a better private insurance.. People in the world think this man is soo good.. well.. he's basically lied about everything.. PLUS he said his first Agenda when he got voted into office would be fixing the economy . THIS IS THE NUMBER 1 REASON HE GOT ELECTED... he didnt fix it.. and now on this BUS TOUR he is proposing a plan to fix it.. LOL 4 yrs later ! Why ? he's afraid he wont get re-elected..  Im an independant voter.. sometimes I voted Democrat ( i did for Clinton ) and other times I have voted Republican.. Once I voted Independant but unfortunately its often a wasted vote since not enough people vote Independant.. Meanwhile Obama gave General Electric a tax pardon last year.. they paid NO taxes and also got a 300 million dollars tax credit.. General Electric Owns MSNBC.. so they never say anything bad about him.. or any affiliates owned by General Electric.. While he continues to devalue the dollar.. he compliments other countries and does whatever he can to make those in other countries like him..  if anyone has a chance of being World President someday its him.. the time is coming when it will happen.. him or not.. Europe is wanting a tighter Eurozone and with problems in the world.. its coming..

Funny you should say that.. Obama made a deal with GE ( General Electric ) early in his Presidency and told the IRS last year he was pardoning General Electric's taxes.. so  last year they paid ZERO tax.. and guess what ? They also got a 300 million dollar CREDIT !... he even asked General Electric's CEO to be his CHEIF Economic advisor ! LOL.. 

Guess who owns MSNBC?  General Electric..

YEP MSNBC is owned by  General Electric..

SO MSNBC never has anything bad to say about Obama - even if they should be reporting the TRUTH, the truth gets "sanatized" into a friendlier persuasion for MSNBC's viewers and internet readers.  Even when its obvious to most of America - except those who blindly watch MSNBC.  Funny enough he pardoned their taxes but to the media its a different Obama face he shows he says "the RICH dont pay their share of taxes",,. haha.. hypocrit.. The rich dont pay their fair share - unless he is buddies with them and gets a sweet deal of his own

When Bush was in office.. MSNBC reported daily on a woman protesting BUSH for the Iraq war because her son was in the military I beleive....anyways she got  DAILY coverage.. when Obama kept us in Iraq and then also took us into another war ( Afghanastain ) ( TWO WARS ) THE SAME LADY protested Obama...  because he broke his campaign promise to pull us out of Iraq immediately.. and also took us into Afghanstan.. Do you think MSNBC gave even a SIGNLE DAY of coverage to this lady now that she was protesting Obama ? HELL NO...

They're just mad they don't get to ride in it. My Chevy was built in Canada, so does that make me and even more so, General Motors "Canuckleheads" too? I love when people criticize something as being unpatriotic/Un-American as they wear foreign made clothing. At least Canada is right next door so to speak.

So who is that 3rd president that couldn't get legislation passed? I am pretty sure Clinton and Obama have been able to get tons of major legislation passed in their terms. The only one that had issues was George W. Bush when it came to reforming Social Security in 2004, as well as ANWAR and a few other areas, despite having majorities in all three legislative areas (congress, senate, president).

Because there is a huge economic crisis coming and he has the power to recall congress and work on a job creating tour... or just making sure that when Europe goes down we don't go down with them.

That he's driving in a canadian bus is really just the cherry on top of the sundae of peoples frustrations.

 

Outside that.... does Canada even build airplanes?
