So the PlayStation brand's decreasing recognition in pop culture,the once COOL idea wasn't never implemented,atleast correctly.Don't even talk about XPERIA PLAY,it was not going for much for it was from with Ericson involved not SONY's own phone.

 

SONY hasn't added phone feature to PSP or to the coming VITA but both of them have SKYPE and VITA has 3G.

 

Now if you have been monitoring the cellular market recently.You will not actually need a phone service built in as in a 3 years VOIP should start with GOOGLE VOICE and MS SKYPE both betting on it and  in 4-5 years time VOIP will be the way to go.All that will be available will be DATA providers.

VITA and every provider then on will not need a phone which they have been against as it will make you look funny.SONY has till then to rebuild the PLAYSTATION brand to its former height and create app market for PLASTATION HANDHELD devices

then create the next big innovative phone(iPHONE was the last that sparked today's phone market) near the start of next generation.The thing SONY could win will be the backward compatibility and that for 5-6 years like the gaming cycles all the app will run on all iterations of devices(PSP 1000,2000,3000) which doesn't happen with iPHONE as they have cut out some people.

sounds sound to me. PSP was phone capable as my brother was able to make several calls on it, but like a sell phone he had to pay for minutes.

Well no, a phone is not a phone unless it can run on phone networks and some Vitas can, but they are distinctly not a phone, and Sony have said they do not want Vita to be a phone (and the XPERIA Play is pretty good anyway)

The main thing is that they are already doing a PS app store with PS Suite for PlayStation certified devices and they have an app store for PlayStation devices, the PS Market....

i'm not talking about VITA,the successor to VITA

XPERIA PLAY is not good enough as it doesn't have any games and didn't do anything in the market so warrant more development.

that is not a PS app store but a game store

and even that is shitty as there are no games in PS Suite apps

that is not a PS app store but a game store

Every time I read Pocket Gamer they are announcing new XPERIA play exclusives, so the number of games is rising

And the point is PS Suite doesn't really exist, it will come with Vita probably, they are just currently releasing PS games for XPERIA Play rather than anything else, it will grow, it needs more time

i know it will grow thats wht the inial plan was

 

but with VITA delays and slow software,the impact that sony could have made was gone

 

they are also getting involved with PS tablets.APPLE has got a real competitor if SONY builds this.

No, that is literally wrong, just completely plain wrong. Android is fragmented, but Google are making progress on decreasing the problem. Qriocity is about providing video and music on demand, something that the Android market does not do (well you can get video but only in the US)

yeah i know,i was just alking about the digital ecosytem which could compete with itunes ecosytem

that is where you don't get it.

we can't look at the picture and say everything will be the same

coming together will force indifferentiality between manufacture devices which will inturn cause a disruption

companies like samsung will feel happy but other companies will say why are we doing the work for smasung.

it will go back to separate devices after a while.

Qriocity is about providing video and music on demand, something that the Android market does not do (well you can get video but only in the US)

sure but the ecosystem is building and sony will get away from android in some years time as they will go big with the ecosytem when PS4 launches and then completely form it with phones,vita,tablet,bravia,ps4.

sony has alot to lose if they keep on going with android as it has other entities.

in a few years time i predict,two main ecosytems apple and sony.

MS has a chance but the only problem is them not being a part of Hardware

Samsung will have problems forming its own ecosystem.
