Forums - PC - Team Fortress 2 (PC)

Yeah we probably could. I never play the game alone...I always join a friend...I've got about 3 friends that play regularly with me...plus you and some others from VGChartz here...we could get it. The problem is it's hard to all get on the same team without waiting forever in Spectate.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Yeah, I've got a friend with a top-notch PC, and TF2 is beautiful on it. I've also got a friend with an ancient PC, but TF2 still runs, and it actually looks fine. Framerate's steady and the style still comes through even on the low settings.

My computer is a laptop from 2004. All the other specs are decent (2,7ghz, 512mb etc), but the graphics card is made of wood and hates games. The newest game that works at all is Rome: Total War, and even that runs like a snail. I'm planning on getting a relatively low-end desktop PC later this year, which would allow me to play the Orange Box, Dawn of War, Supreme Commander, Medieval 2 Total War, and all those other PC games I've been drooling at for the last few years. Shouldn't cost too much, especially if I can loot a decent monitor from somewhere.

I have a good friend who owns this game (and is partly responsible for me wanting it so much, due to letting me play it from time to time ^^), and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to borrow it for a while to see if it works. My girlfriend loves everything about Portal (despite never having played it, or any other FPS, in her life), so she'd love it too. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction guys. =P

I think the stat I am most proud of right now is "Most damage:14,842 (as Demoman)".

PS - I also still need to get that "With friends like these" achievement =P

To Each Man, Responsibility

A skilled demoman is a scary, scary thing. They can do anything. I'm okay at that class, but I wish I was amazing. I also wish I was a better spy.

My best kill streaks have been 13 as demoman and 19 as engineer.

Also, Dustbowl is the best map in the game.

 Definately.

+1 for another who needs "with friends like these".
I think BenKenobi is already on my list, but if anyone else wants to add me my steam name is my vgchartz name (but my in game name is 'meh')

I don't really stick to any particular classes - I just use whatever is needed for the current situation. I am starting to learn how to effectively snipe finally though...it's great fun :) If anyone is concerned about running this game on their old computer, don't be, unless you have integrated graphics or something. TF2 runs smoothly at reduced settings on my 1.4ghz core 2 lappy with a weak 8400m gs card.
