PS3 Price Cut will Hurt Vita? If Vita stays at $249/$299

Yes 16 50.00%

No 16 50.00%

Total:32

Is the New PS3 price of $249.99 going to hurt Vita sales?

Vita = $249.99

PS3 = $249.99

Vita 3G = $299.99

PS3 I2 = $299.99

Do you think Sony will lower the Vita before launch now if the 3DS price cut didn't change it's mind?

Just thinking with more people considering purchasing more home entertainment then they are spending on vacations and other personal items, do you think $249.99 for a Home Entertainment center Movies/Games/Music for the whole family will be better then a handheld for $249.99 that just one person can use at a time?

they can't afford to lower vitas price so no and to the other question no cause you didn't have maybe up there, and its somthng i've already speculated

It is likely that Sony anticipated an exchange rate of 80 yen per American dollar when they announced the PS Vita's price and, even with the Japanese central bank trying to devalue the yen compared to the dollar, the US dollar continues to lose value compared to the Yen. Being that I'm beginning to wonder whether Sony will have to raise the price to avoid losing too much money if the dollar continues its death spiral, I'm fairly certain that Sony has no room to drop the price of the PS Vita.

they might lower it or they will really need a big exclusive to justify the price atleast the first full year

No...does the Wii affect the 3DS sales you think? I think not

umm....ya

parents saw the Wii $150.00 and 3DS $250.00 and decided to get the Wii.... So the whole family could play.

Nope either you want handheld or stationary consoles.

No.

The PS3 is old, Vita is new.
Consumers are prepared to pay top dollar for smaller, less powerful devices. People pay for portability.
The iPhone and iPad are similarly priced, as an example.
