597k week one, a rise of 275%. The previous week sales were 159k. It was a new design though and was a way bigger drop so I assume it wont be anywhere as powerful this time.

No new design, smaller price cut and very sudden with no time to advertise in advance. Also, the price-cut will not have been effective all week.

So I say 200,000-240,000.

Rather minimal - maybe 200k don't forget there were no waiting period before cut which usually fuels big jumps.

200-250k, there should be a lot of folks on the fence for the ps3 slim, also it's been a while since Sony cut the ps3 so I expect a lot of people to run out and update to slims again, and people that been waiting for a cut.

Week ending August 20th: 160k-170k

Week ending August 27th: 200k

Week ending September 3rd: 170k-180k

Well, that's my guess for the next few weeks. I don't think it'll do more. It's still summer, and the price cut isn't really that big. The PS3 sold around 130k the past few weeks, so a jump of 30k-50k is definitely nice.

if wii really jumped to 240k at one time this year i can see the sales up to 300k to 350k but im not sure if this happens this week or next. In Germany were some pretty serious deals for the ps3 since last week. Amazon Germany sold almost all their ps3 consoles in stock even the uk imported ones and other retailers had the ps3 320gb for 220 and 230€ for sale.
