There's plenty of us here that love dota!  The only thing I'm worried about is I will no longer like that gameplay after being so used to LoL.  I recently downloaded HoN because it changed to free to play, and literally uninstalled it after 1 game.  There were just so many things I liked so much better about LoL.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Icefrog has revealed that the tournament will begin at 10am in Cologne Germany, tomorrow. Tournament schedule to be released soon.

Edit: http://www.dota2.com/tournaments/international/

Tournament schedule released and liked in first post.  Not only that but you can now opt-in to the upcoming beta through that link. Huge amount has been added to the DOTA 2 website, you can find out the groups, the rosters of each team, the commentators for each language.

There will be 24 matches happening on Wednesday, unfortunately only 4 of them will be commentated.  Of the first 4 matches at 10am, iG vs EHOME will be shoutcast.

Total prize pool confirmed on the blog

1st place: $1,000,000 USD

2nd place: $250,000

3rd place: $150,000

4th place: $80,000

5th place: $35,000

6th place: $35,000

7th place: $25,000

8th place: $25,000

Has anyone here watched any of the games??

My internet cant really handle the streaming but i managed to download a replay :)

The game looks awesome, i love the way they designed the heroes...and it doesnt seem like the updated graphics interferes with the game play.

The tournament is gathering a lot of hype at the moment, which is great for the dota community.

The only crap thing is that i missed out on the beta sign up :( i hope they open up more places soon

I stayed up to watch the first match, which turned out badly on several fronts - long delay, constant in-game lag and game pauses, and one of the dullest, most ultra-cautious non-stop farm games I've ever watched (understandable given the prize, I guess).

Game itself looking good though.

Bad luck, the first game unfortunately was the only one like that D=  They reached 1.5 million concurrent stream viewers which was causing all the problems.  However they worked around it and there was no pauses in the later games.

All the replays are being uploaded to youtube in 1080p so you can truly see how nice the game looks.  These replays aren't being observed by humans, it's using DotA TVs AI or auto-spectator.  One fantastic feature among many in the new client.

They seem to have completely worked out their bandwidth issues and the games for Day 2 are going without hitch.  The GamesCon doors are now open to the public aswell so there is an audience.

In other news, there is now apparently "Blizzard DOTA,"

Nothing new, they're just upgrading the DOTA version that Starcraft had as well, before it was used on WC3.

A smart move by Blizzard.
