Do you really need five months to come up with a good excuse?

I suspect that VGC numbers are off.  After all nearly 3 million 360s have sold in the last 5 months.  Mean to tell me that only 430K of those were sold with Kinect and that doesnt even account for standalone Kinect units.  We know that accessory sales are more difficult to track.

If Kinect was still doing hot, then Microsoft would have bragged about it or at least noted it in their financial results.

Well Gamasutra article about July NPD states that 52% of Xbox 360s sold since Kinect launch are Kinect bundles. I assume this is just USA. So since April 1,806,000 360s sold in NA.  I suspect that the 430K number isnt accurate.

Yeah that's since launch though, it could have been 60% in December which is a high amount that time of year, which means it could have done 40% over last few months (rough example)

Still through I agree we may have it slightly lower than what it's doing, it's just surpassed 10.4 mill sold and it shipped that end of March which was over 4 and a half months ago. Doesn't help MS don't release figures as often anymore (unsurprising) they will come January when it's selling like hot cakes again.

Some decent stuff to look forward too. The bing, skype and cloud integration look cool and will look forward to that.

So I have a mango and a dashboard coming my way in September Microsoft are busy little bees.

Winner of the 2010 VGC Holiday sales prediction thread with an Average 1.6% accuracy rating. I am indeed awesome.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

Since this is being reported. I believe that the data is more focused on the recent sales numbers rather than launch focused.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

I think Kinect needs more "commercial" titles like Dance Central, but until October, nothing.
