Forums - Sales - What games do you think will flop or not do so hot???

Packed next couple of months. Probably more so than any other year. Some games will fall by the wayside, not cause they are bad perse, but too much competition. Here are a few I believe will suffer:

NMH Paradise. having finally played this game from the demo on PSN i gotta say its not bad, but not great either. I was never one  of those "this should have been a HD game cause it would have done better" the game itself is just alright and i understand why it sold as much as it did. Plus its a port of a game that has been around for a while

Xmen Destiny This game is supposed to come out the end of next month and ive seen a little previews and no hype. Dont know whats going on with this.

Spiderman Edge of Time. Despite the positive reviews from last years game. It didnt even break a mil across four platforms. I think people just dont care about Spidey that much. Shame, im a fan of Spidey 2099.

HOTD Overkill PS3. Again another port of a older game. Dont even know the new features. And its dropping the same day as Batman, really smart Sega

Goldeneye HD another port and it will be overshadowed by Battlefield and COD. Shame, its a good game and with a updated online it will be better.

Sonic generations it looks good, it plays good IMHO. But it drops same day as Uncharted and its on the HDs

Rayman ORigins, Dont know what UBI is thinking dropping this game same day as AC Revelations??? They want this game to fail?? It might do alright on Wii, but even then it has to compete with Kirby & Zelda.

Ultimate Mvs.C3 is it wrong to want this game to kinda fail??? If it is let me know

El Shadai, Dead Island, Supremacy MMA, and Driver. Their hype is almost nonexistent, and the mma game looks like complete garbage.

I am scared for Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank. Not as much for R&C because it seems like a pretty low budget game.

I can also see Saints Row 3 going under the radar.

kinding me, Dead Island has just as much hype as Call of Duty.

I dont see Deus Ex doing well, which when it does means the end of good shooters from the publishers, and highly scripted <4 hour sp and mainly multiplayer that is just cod in a different dress will be pumped out and most money will be in its marketing to see as many copies as they can. Luckly DD plaftorms on PC allow indie devs to self release there own titles, we are getting two shooters soon, hard reset and Red Orchastra 2 soon, apart of genres long dead (90s fps and hardcore WW2 shooters).

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

It has some hype from hardcore gamers, but most people don't know about it. The game comes out on September 6, and it hasn't broken into the top 20 pre-orders chart. Even if it receives favorable reviews there's a great probability that it will flop.

I think Twisted Metal will flop. There is NO hype at all, not even on hardcore pro PS3 sites. The delay was not for "polishing" reasons but for a chance to get at least some attention in a very slow time of the year. I think 1 million would be quite good for it.

Rise of Nightmares will flop as well. It is a hardcore title on a casual device. I think 500k is realistic.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Games don't need hype to be successful. If they game is good enough, then it'll surprise gamers and be huge success, regardless of how much hype it has. Will the game be good enough to do that? Time will tell.

Theres a new Driver game??? For what system??? Man i forgot about Saints Row 3, yeah thats gonna bomb, too bad. that looked like fun and i love the trailer

I really hope Deus Ex HR will do good. I think it should sell well but maybe it won't be so clear in the numbers as a fair share of PC gamers will probably buy it digitally

I'd also like to see Space Marine performing decently, as I am a fan of W40k lore and Relic's games. But I'm not sure it will happen, even though the game seems to be pretty nice

Hoping Dark Souls won't bomb in any sense and maybe sell more than it's predecessor, although it's on ps3 and 360 so I guess we got's to be hopeful =D
