MS is excellent at sweeping thing under the rug, it's plain annoying when gamers pretend like it wasn't a big deal or forget that MS lied about it for a year.

RROD is in the past the thing with sony only happened a few weeks ago

Turns out it's only for security problems 

"The annual awards night, which attracts some of the world's top hackers and online security experts, says it exists to celebrate and publicly ridicule 'the achievements and failures of security researchers and the security community.'"
