Wow, 1.8 million for the PSP. Highest Q1 since 2008. Also the PS2 is still doing really well. It's crazy that it seems fairly low (compared to itself), but it is still within spitting distance of current generation consoles. Also, it looks like the PS2 might start selling more hardware than software soon.

1.8 Mill PS3 and 1.8 Mill PSP.
1.4 M PS2 !!!!!! Couple more quarters and PS2 will outship the Wii lol......

PS3 is down 600k shipped units compared to same quarter last year.

Software however is up.
26.1 mill units of PS3 software shipped compared to 24.8 M 1 year ago...

PS3 projection for full year maintained at 15 M so a price cut has to be coming...( forecast is 700k higher than last year and so far they start the year 600k behind last year).

Software projection maintained.

It looks like Sony is projecting that fiscal 2011 is going to be their best year so far for software, so much for this gen is dying and we need next gen........

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

hmm..

the low number on shelves probably is partly caused by current models being phased out and Sony preparing to ship the new ones. Still I expect to see some downwards adjustments of sales (200-400k).

ouch, software shipments down by over 50% for the Wii this quarter compared to last years quarter - on par with the hw decline

btw. Wii sales (VGC) week ending July 2nd: 87.64M
