Forums - Gaming - EA Financials Are In.

As a publicly traded company, EA has to release it's financial history to the public so that investors have access to the data they need to make sound investment decisions - or at least informed ones .  :D

Well, the adjusted report from EA (non-GAAP) tells a story that might be of interest to the "PC IS DEAD!" crowd here.

This story paints the PC is profiting very well for EA. That's right, one of the biggest video game publishers out there makes alot money from the PC.

It's a similar story (last year at least) with Activision/Blizzard for whom PC generates most of it's profit.

Just thought I'd share :)

Where does it say so?

All I got was: - Over the past year EA has generated $1.138b in revenue on X360, $1.099b on PS3, $688m on PC, $268m on Wii, $235m on Mobile (platforms), $130m on 'Other', $93m on DS, $66m on PSP, and $56m on PS2.

I couldn't find it either.  That is about all I found within the report in regards to the different platforms.

yes, if you count all the games sold on PC by EA since whenever EA sold PC games, it is more then 360 and PS3 combined...

however, i have a feeling that if you remove "sims" and the "sim (insert occupation or location here)" EA PC sales would be very low, since other then battlefield nothing of note is on pc

I was going to comment on that but let it slide.  The Wii is not apart of the current generation apparently.  It is in it's own generation.

Yep, I hear EA's Facebook games are doing pretty decent. Users are down, but revenues are up.
