If you were in his situation, would you lie?  Honestly, I think I would.

I think you did!

If you really must know, I thought about lying, and saying I still targeted FinalFan (as I accidentally sent that message to everybody), but absolutely nothing good would have occurred because of this.  Matter of fact, it would just fuck people up, and then I likely would have been caught in the act, and regretted doing it.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not enough of a risk taker to do something stupid like that.

Here's the post about Baal's fear of lying and it doesn't make sense to me at all.

The only reason for lying is if you think you could be the killer so unless Baal targeted me on Night Zero, lying shouldn't even have crossed his mind.

I think that trucks is the RB, and that Baal is the killer, considering that trucks RB'd Baal (theoretical killer) and Heph, leaving us with only one kill on nights 0 and 1.
And now Baal admits to targeting Heph on night 1.
Baal thinks we all targeted Heph night 1.

Trucks was the only one to come forward about targeting Heph even though it could've put him in the hotseat. This makes me think that he's the RB.
Now, I think Baal clearly believes that he thinks himself to be the killer, otherwise he wouldn't have lied. That would have been fine since we don't actually know our own roles, but, his move against me looks like scapegoating, which looks like he's solidified that he actually is the killer.

I also refer back to when he said, "I was too scared to lie on day 1" (paraphrasing maybe), this makes me think he got over that fear.

I also believe that my scenario up top (posted 2 days ago):
"1.
Baal-killer targets Heph (said he was too scared to lie [about night 1])
Prof-vanilla
Trucks- RB, blocks Baal
FF-doc protects Baal
Heph-killer, targets Trucks?

N1
Baal- killer, targets Heph
Prof- vanilla
Trucks- RBs Heph
FF- Docs Prof
Heph- ?

This is a possible solution

I've really got to go through the option but it will take a lot of time.."

is the reason Baal is so forthcoming with this new information. I believe I caught him in his lie and he's now fessing up.

Did I think I was the killer?  Absolutely.  Lots of people targeted me, as well as the person I targeted on night 0, so it was very possible that my kill could have simply been blocked or doctored.  On night 1, however, Trucks just up and admitted to targetting Heph, when I also targeted Heph.  There was absolutely no reason for me to get myself into shit, when I was starting to get really strong feelings that I was the mafia member.

But last night, Wonk was not my target.  As I mentioned before, I had a strong feeling yesterday that I was the mafia.  I targeted Trucks because due to my feeling I was the mafia, that would have made him be the roleblocker.  If I could kill the roleblocker, and somehow convince people not to lynch again today, then I would easily be able to weed out who the doctor is, and target him for night 3, thus winning.  If I target the townie or doctor, and then somehow convince the game to resume, it is very plausible that I get blocked the following night.

Trucks, however, did not die last night.  Wonk did.  My only option was to go through solution after solution after solution and find at least SOMETHING that could be plausible.  I HAD to find this solution.  I knew perfectly well if I couldn't find out what was actually going on, I would immediately be lynched, with the victory going to the mafia.  Everything I was finding was way too complicated, however.  It involved way too many lies that could not possibly be true.

My problem was I was continuing, over and over, to assume Heph was lying.  I went through a scenario where he wasn't lying, and you immediately became my suspect.  After me admitting to my lie about night 1, which as stated before, was done because I didn't want to get myself into shit when I believed I was mafia, the only lies necessary for this situation to be true are you on night 0, you on night 1, you on night 2.

It was the only solution I found that actually makes sense.

Not quite sure where Trucks has decided to go, but I'm still waiting on his opinion.

The only reason for lying is if you think you could be the killer so unless Baal targeted me on Night Zero, lying shouldn't even have crossed his mind.

At the beginning of the game, I wasn't 100% certain of what strategy I would use, but wanted to play assuming that I was a townie.  Knowing that I didn't target you on night 0, there was a 75% chance of it, after all.

You started accusing me of lying, but this simply was not true.  While I defiantly thought about lying on night 0, there was absolutely no reason to.  Not only was my target not killed, knowing there was a 75% chance that I was town, the odds were with me that if I lied, I would just fuck the rest of the town up.

On night 1, however, my target did die.  When only one other person admits to targetting that specific person, the odds that I am mafia start to skyrocket.  I felt I had absolutely no choice but to lie in order to save myself.

You actually admitting to target Heph really did show you have balls, I'm just not man enough to do it, though.

1. Except that you never once suspected trucks of being the killer. You never pointed a finger at him. If you suspected that either he or yourself were the killer, then scapegoating him was the most plausible scenario. No, you KNEW that you were the killer, because if you were a townie, then going after trucks was the townie thing to do. You were using Trucks, along with asking whoever else was lying so that you could make a fool-proof confirmation that you were the killer.

Later, you also say that you went with the most simplistic explanation, yet the most simlpistic, if you are the town targeting Heph, is that Trucks is the mafia. Instead, you made the scenario more complicated by saying that I (theprof) ALSO targeted Heph. When in fact, I already posted the most simplistic scenario above that includes lies from only you and Heph.

I wrote 1 because I thought there'd be something better to respond to, but including the fact that you've already lied to us, I see no reason to address your other points on their own merit alone.

He actually again wrote it here:

"Whether or not you guys believe me, I was WAY too scared to even attempt to lie on night 1.  If Heph also didn't lie on night 1, then that means whoever would have killed Trucks is Prof or you."

And no, I hadn't thought at any point in time that I might be the killer, hence I haven't lied.
Trucks, I think you're smart enough to consider that you might be the killer, and not catch yourself in a lie.
But Baal clearly believed he was the killer for at least 2 nights.

For at least 2 nights...HUH?

I targeted Heph on night 0, and absolutely nothing happened to him.  I had absolutely no clue whatsoever what I was on night 1, and once again targeted Heph.  Heph then died on night 1.  This led me to believe I was the killer on night 2, and only night 2.  I never thought I was the killer for 2 nights, I thought I was the killer for 1 night.

First off, this was referencing night 0, not night 1.  I made that mistake several times already (not used to having a night 0).  I don't know what there is to not understand about it, though.  I was way too scared to lie on night 0, nor did I lie on night 0.  Did the though occur to me that I could potentially lie, though?  Sure it did, and I have a good feeling anybody who says they didn't at least have a momentary thought about it is full of shit.

Me being too scared to lie on night 0 doesn't mean that I was incapable of lying on night 1.  I thought I was mafia, why would't I have lied.  I have since realized otherwise, however, so there was absolutely no reason not to tell you guys that I had lied about my night 1 action.

When in fact, I already posted the most simplistic scenario above that includes lies from only you and Heph.

It actually isn't the most simplistic.  It is the most complicated.  Me being the mafia requires one lie on night 0, 1 lie on night 1 (which has been admitted by me), and 1 lie on night 2 for a total of 3 lies.  You being the mafia requires 4 total lies including the one admitted by me.

If Trucks were mafia, then Heph must have lied and went after Trucks.  One of us also has to be the roleblocker, which means since we both targeted Heph according to who revealed what, we would have blocked Heph's kill.  Since this didn't happen, whichever of us is the roleblocker must have targeted either Trucks, or the other one of us (if we targeted Wonk, then Trucks kill would have gone through).  So we have 2 lies on night 0.  Now, on night 1, we have the Trucks and I targeted Heph (I originally lied and said Wonk).  Since Heph did not kill anybody, either Heph targeted you, and our doctor stopped it, or I blocked Heph's kill.  Regardless, we have 1 lie on night 1.  Now, on night 2, Trucks claims to have targeted you, you claim to have targeted Trucks, and I also targeted Trucks.  One of us would have blocked his kills.  This means one of us is lying.  On top of this, Wonk died, not you, who Trucks claims he targeted.  So Trucks also would have lied about his target.  This means 5 total lies for Trucks to be mafia.

So saying Trucks is the most simplistic version is not true at all.  Out of the 3 of us, it actually requires the most lies in order for him to be mafia.
