Insure instead of ensure. That's unforgivable, it deserves the maximum chastisement.

I've been working with a Japanese language partner, who seems to grasp most of it quite well, and his greatest problem, which my Japanese teacher also acknowledged, was the fact that our prepositions are everywhereallovertheplace, like "in, on, at," that sort of thing. I remember from Spanish and i know in Japanese now that their equivalent words are all rather categorical in their applications, whereas we in the English-speaking world can be in love, in class, or in the car

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Khan, that makes sense. In spanish you'd suppres the preposition in some of the cases but you'd have to morph the verb, so it's clearer in a sense even if ou have to commit more to memory.

I blame the T-Max! It makes people unlearn what a true bike and the highway code are too!

Edit:

PS: My bêtes noires are "its" instead of "it's" and vice versa and "should of", they are really sloppy English.

Written it's perfectly understandable, but I guess that spoken would be a bloody mess!
