I will be making a list of who i think are the Top 5 Most popular video game characters of all-time.

Please remember that this is just my opinion so dont be so sensitive.  :)

5. <(Cloud) Final Fantasy 7

4. <(Sonic the Hedgehog) Sonic

3.<(Pikachu) Pokemon

2. <(Link) Zelda

1.<(Mario) Mario

Hmmmm, I might take out Cloud for Pac-Man. But i think Zelda is a little more popular than Donkey Kong now.  :)

I would say Bowser is more popular than both of them. Anyone who knows Mario most likely knows Bowser. Same could probably be said for Luigi.

LOL. Maybe i should have made the title, The Top 5 video game characters of EACH game.

5: Toad

4: Peach

3: Bowser

2: Luigi

1: Mario

My list would be this:

5: Pacman

4: Link

3: Sonic

2: Donkey Kong

1: Mario

Naw, I would definitely say Pac-man is more popular than Peach and Toad. And most likely Sonic is also.

5) Classic characters (Simon Belmont, the L Block, the dog at duck hunt)

4) Capcom Characters (Ryu, Megaman and leon)

3) Square Enix Characters (Cloud, Tifa, etc).

2) Console icons like Sonic, Master chief, PacMan and if somehow Solid Snake.

1) Nintendo Characters (Link, Mario, Pikachu, etc).

I'm not sure about the order of numbers 2, 3 and 4, but I'm pretty sure about 1. Number 5 is probably Link..............I think if we look at the world's population today, the list would look like this. Pacman and DK are probably not as well known as the guys on this list bcuz the population of gamers was much smaller when they were popular.
