Now that being said I would agree the PS3 community seems much more vocal for the most part in saying anti - 360 comments than you see going the other way but I think thats for a couple reasons.
1. The PS3 community is much more active on the internet. I don't really know why but its pretty much a statistical fact, nearly every website which does polls about which console is better the PS3 nearly always wins despite the 360 haveing a larger userbase. I think its because PS3 with its high price tag sold primarily more to "hardcore" gamers and tech guys.
2. The PS3 lost a massive amount of marketshare this generation and a lot of it is do to the 360. Its evident by just how much the 360 has sold this gen and how much fewer PS3s have been sold in comparison to PS2. There has certainly been some PS2 fans who jumped onto the 360 instead of the PS3.
3. PS3 owners more than any other console for some odd reason believe in things like loyalty among business and honor and such. Its kinda strange but they get legitmatily angry when exclusive games jumped multi-plat. I still remember the rage from games like Final Fantasy XIII and plenty of others when they became multi-plat games. The 360 gamers honestly didn't freak out really at all when Mass Effect jumped or when Bungie went multi-plat and don't generally care about the "Exclusives lists" like PS3 fans do. |
1.360 doesn't have a larger userbase, remember this study, http://techhall.wordpress.com/2010/03/17/ps3-has-larger-install-base-than-360/
2. What does that have to do with anything
3.If FFXIII went to 360 after it was released on ps3 I doubt many people would care, but it was suspected and later confirmed that they cut content out of the ps3 version because of the 360 one http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/6439.html "left out due to considerations for game volume", game volume wasn't an issue on ps3, plus after playing the game I doubt anyone would of cared

1. The 360 has a larger install base than the PS3. I can't believe in 2011 there's still people trying to debate that the RROD is responsible for the 360 lead. MS 95% of the time didn't replace 360's with new ones, they simply repaired the existing console.
2. It has to do with bitterness over the loss of the lead. Obviously not all or probably even close to most are bitter over it but there is a bitter very vocal minority who are upset about it. I see posters ever single day who are.
3. LOL no it had nothing to do with content stop trying to make excuses for the ones that freaked out. Litteraly the milisecond that trailer appeared at E3 Sony hardcores BLEW UP. I remember the meltdowns were legendary. And that was before anyone had seen ANY content for the game minus 1 - 2 trailers.

1. It's not like no1 has bought another 360 to replace their broken one after thier warrenty has finally run out or are just getting sick of putting it back and it's not nessirary all RROD, I've seen more youtube vids of girlfriends destorying 360 then I have ps3, but anyways the study speaks for itself either prove the study wrong or accept it
2. Technically the ps3 lost no marketshare, since it never had any, Sony did lose some though, but the ps2 kept it's market share afloat for longer then you think
3. Square went on record saying that FFXIII would use 100% of the ps3s potential (or whatever not an exact quote) anyways my point is once it was annouced mutliplat people knew the game was going to get downgraded, and again if it happend after the game launched (especially if it was a year after) like ME2 it wouldn't of happened
