Personally I own both but I get extremely annoyed when MS pays to keep a game or content that they had no hand in making off the ps3, if they fund or publish the content that's fine but the whole timed exclusive thing they were doing is just ridicules not to mention that thing with tales of ves, instead of keeping content from ps3 users why don't they use that money make something for us 360 users

Sony money hats too for example... Ghostbusters.... though it's perhaps a less cunning tactical choice, the practice is used to. But you should also have noticed that sony takes a little revenge... ports to PS3 have to add extra content, and thus the PS3 versions are more complete than the earlier 360 versions... as a 360 owner, I feel ripped off not having the ability to purchase the "full game" (though I don't blame sony, I blame the devs).

Ghostbusters was what a few weeks in one region (I don't even remember) timed exclusive and they only did that because the ps3 version was alot worse then the 360 one, and they only did it after MS did it like 20 times for a full year, I know Sony sometimes moneyhats too but there are alot less cases where as for half the 360s life moneyhatting was MSes go to strategy

I personally never owned nor do i plan on getting a 360/xbox. I have nothing against the Xbox brand it just seems like the community and there style of games dont match what i normally like to play.

Anyways i dont hate the 360, I just dont like the company behind it. That being Microsoft.

As far as your question goes, Most PS3 fans like myself dont hate the 360. We just prefer to stay loyal to the brand we are use to. :)

Sony didn't moneyhat ghostbusters. Ghostbusters was produced by Columbia pictures in the 80's. When Sony acquired Columbia pictures and turned it into Sony pictures that movie was one of theirs. Sony was involved in the development process and the PS3 was the lead platform. Money hat nothing. Thats their property and they wanted it to do well on their console. Compared to Microsoft I've rarely seen Sony moneyhat for exclusive content rather than having a good relationship with a company. Blame the devs for thinking the games will sell stronger on the PS3. I mean on the 360 Microsoft gets so much Modern Warfare and Guitar Hero content because of kotick and Activision . Games like Tekken, Ninja Gaiden and FF Microsoft definitely moneyhatted to diversify instead of only having DOA as a fighting game. Microsoft moneyhatted plenty of JRPGs. They just got screwed in the end with Ninja Gaiden if you know the story about that in favor of the Japanese relationship with Sony. Of course you know about Sonys policy in not paying for late ports. Microsoft doesnt work that way.

In general people from all consoles bash the other ones besides some non-biased multi console owners (myself, CGI-Quality, Yo_John117, etc.) so its not really fair to point only to PS3 owners for it. There's plenty of pro Wii and 360 flamers / trolls as well.

Now that being said I would agree the PS3 community seems much more vocal for the most part in saying anti - 360 comments than you see going the other way but I think thats for a couple reasons.

1. The PS3 community is much more active on the internet. I don't really know why but its pretty much a statistical fact, nearly every website which does polls about which console is better the PS3 nearly always wins despite the 360 haveing a larger userbase. I think its because PS3 with its high price tag sold primarily more to "hardcore" gamers and tech guys.

2. The PS3 lost a massive amount of marketshare this generation and a lot of it is do to the 360. Its evident by just how much the 360 has sold this gen and how much fewer PS3s have been sold in comparison to PS2. There has certainly been some PS2 fans who jumped onto the 360 instead of the PS3.

3. PS3 owners more than any other console for some odd reason believe in things like loyalty among business and honor and such. Its kinda strange but they get legitmatily angry when exclusive games jumped multi-plat. I still remember the rage from games like Final Fantasy XIII and plenty of others when they became multi-plat games. The 360 gamers honestly didn't freak out really at all when Mass Effect jumped or when Bungie went multi-plat and don't generally care about the "Exclusives lists" like PS3 fans do.

Because it's the rival to the PS3. Pretty stupid question actually.

1.360 doesn't have a larger userbase, remember this study, http://techhall.wordpress.com/2010/03/17/ps3-has-larger-install-base-than-360/

2. What does that have to do with anything

3.If FFXIII went to 360 after it was released on ps3 I doubt many people would care, but it was suspected and later confirmed that they cut content out of the ps3 version because of the 360 one http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/6439.html "left out due to considerations for game volume", game volume wasn't an issue on ps3, plus after playing the game I doubt anyone would of cared

You're too kind

In all seriousness, we do have a bias, it just doesn't cloud our argument as much (most of the time) as it may for others. In fact, there are a lot of fair-minded people on this site (even if their preferences differ from one another). Problem is, many obvious, trouble making accounts go unnoticed and it often hurts the good conversations this place is known for. Just take a look at some of the individual sales walls for many games, it's ridiculous.

Yeah I know at the end of the day we all have a slight bias like at the end of the day I prefer the 360 and you prefer the PS3 but I mean we are posters who don't let our preference for the most part cloud our thinking.  I think PS3 has easily some of the greatest new IP this generation.  Infamous, LBP, and Uncharted are amazing and their staple franchises like God of War are still among the best in the industry.  And even though you prefer PS3 you post positive stuff about 360 games like Gears of War and Alan Wake all the time.

I just mean in general there are some of us on this site who are very fair in how we treat the consoles and I consider you for sure one of them

1.  The 360 has a larger install base than the PS3.  I can't believe in 2011 there's still people trying to debate that the RROD is responsible for the 360 lead.  MS 95% of the time didn't replace 360's with new ones, they simply repaired the existing console.

2.  It has to do with bitterness over the loss of the lead.  Obviously not all or probably even close to most are bitter over it but there is a bitter very vocal minority who are upset about it.  I see posters ever single day who are.

3.  LOL no it had nothing to do with content stop trying to make excuses for the ones that freaked out.  Litteraly the milisecond that trailer appeared at E3 Sony hardcores BLEW UP.  I remember the meltdowns were legendary.  And that was before anyone had seen ANY content for the game minus 1 - 2 trailers.

1. It's not like no1 has bought another 360 to replace their broken one after thier warrenty has finally run out or are just getting sick of putting it back and it's not nessirary all RROD, I've seen more youtube vids of girlfriends destorying 360 then I have ps3, but anyways the study speaks for itself either prove the study wrong or accept it

2. Technically the ps3 lost no marketshare, since it never had any, Sony did lose some though, but the ps2 kept it's market share afloat for longer then you think

3. Square went on record saying that FFXIII would use 100% of the ps3s potential (or whatever not an exact quote) anyways my point is once it was annouced mutliplat people knew the game was going to get downgraded, and again if it happend after the game launched (especially if it was a year after) like ME2 it wouldn't of happened

I think it's mainly frustration
