Forums - Gaming - 'Bulletstorm' fails to turn a profit

I don't know why anyone'd expect it to sell spectacular when they niche-ified the fps game.

The graphics were amazing and that is basically everything...btw only shipped 300k first month??

Sucks, the game was cool.

But it would have turned a profit on the Wii, right?

only if it played on the classic controler or gamecube controler. a port to WiiU is likely.

i can't believe so many people didin't like Bulletstorm.

i thought it played perfectly on both consoles although you were stuck with R1 as the shooter button on PS3 which is a pain in the ass for me.

But... but Selnor said it was the nest FPS this gen...

Selnor says a lot of things, and if I were to collect them all into a thread, major lulz would ensue.

However, it is too bad about the game. It's humorous and fresh, which is exactly what FPS games should be. Not SRS war games.

I still don't understand how this game got decent review scores, if there ever was a case for professional review scores being unreliable this is one of them

I didn't realize so many of you disliked it. I personally had a blast with Bulletstorm. The story wasn't too bad, the graphics were pretty good, and the gameplay was unique. I can see how it would get alittle  old after a while, but I wouldn't call it a bad game.

Going up against Killzone 3 may explain the lower PS3 version's sales, but I'm going to assume it had zero effect on the 360 version. Still  a shame though, the game brought some interesting elements to a saturated genre.

And that is exactly the problem, a short game that introduces new elements and different variations of gameplay gets so dull so fast....then you have a problem..

I had to struggle myself to finish the game.

The game is built on 'we show you something cool and you will have to do it a hundred of times' at first it is nice..After ten time the fun of watching is over and over 100 times it works on your nerves.  Yes it is cool to shoot with a sniper and guide your bullet but after 100 times it is simply annoying.

And oh got the jokes in this game..X_X...  it is an plus 16 or plus 18 year old game but with jokes made for 12 year olds.  It feels like a friend who makes jokes whole the time while nobody is laughing and he is rolling on the floor laughing because he thinks he is so amazing;..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH0KH9F4He8   example of the dickjokes..

FIXED! If an IP is good, it will sell. Games like Borderlands, Heavy Rain, LA Noire, Batman Arkham Asylum, are all proof.

You forgot demons souls that one is proof that a game with a low budget and no advertising can sell if it's unique and good enough
